This is probably intentional on your part but the Amex business gold redemption at 1.33 cpp was left out.

I was curious what people recommend for a second credit card?. I currently have the discover student chrome. I am in my last year of undergrad at college. My credit history is only 8 months long. I feel like there are better rewards with different cards that I am missing out on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hey sebby , hope your doing great ! I’ve been a very long time follower and I have referred several friends to your resources to help with a lot of issues. Almost two years ago I was approved for my amex plat. Thanks to a,ot of your help and knowledge I was able to qualify and find the 100,000 bonus back then 👏. I was recently approved for the Schwab platinum card with the 60,000 sign on bonus. Now listening to you I am fully aware I probably will not get my 60k points due to this is a second bonus however my main goal is to utilize the brokerage account feature . Before I agreed to the terms and information online I called amex and explained my precious points and my intent to change them to cash via Schwab brokerage. The rep confirmed this is completely possible , my fear is this will still not be the case. If this is not possible it will negate my intent of opening the Schwab plat amex. Do you feel there is anything else I should do or proactively do to confirm I will be able to use this properly ? Maybe close my first amex plat first , before I use the points ? Any help is much appreciated

Hey guys I had a question and pardon my ignorance. I recently fixed my credit from mistakes in the past. Experian: 770 TransUnion:740 Equifax:737 however I have 12 inquiries. I have $0 debt and I’m trying to take advantage of the Gold card sign up bonus. Would you say my approval odds are good? Sorry if this is a dumb question

Hey Sebby! I hope You're well… I was just informed that I was "ineligible" to earn the welcome reward on my blue cash preferred because I have a Delta Gold card. Is this correct? Does it hold true for all other Amex cards? Thanks in advance!

Schwab is the most flexible one from my perspective as someone who doesn’t travel by air a lot, especially during the pandemic.

hey brody i have question. If you get a credit card and get the points and pay your bill in full and have it in really good standing, but your only really using it for the points and travel credits etc… does it negatively impact your score if you close the account after the first year?

Dang Seb, you should do a class or sell some sort of book to show us how you find such cheap travel, I would def. pay for that.

So I like looking at %’s more then XPoints. So if you’re getting for example .07¢ per point that’s 7% back no?

I think, for most, the tax question pertains to taking the distribution from your investment account more so than being taxed transferring your points out.

What's your process for finding/keeping up with the best transfer partner deals?

Reply
Rod B. November 16, 2020 - 3:23 am

Sebby for people who don't have flexible travel schedules or families who can only travel on very busy travel times when the children are out of school using points to travel is EXTREMELY difficult. It is virtually impossible to book flights with points in most of these situations, not to mention you need to move with the speed of a ninja to facilitate the transaction when things miraculously line up.

Rite Aid also tries to use your MR points when you pay with your Amex. You need to be careful and click ‘No’ when it prompts you.

What do you think of Amex transfer partners vs chase – do you have a video on this?

Reply
Nate Woodward March 11, 2021 - 1:17 am

Everybody says that transfer partners are the way to get the best value from Amex points, but nobody seems to provide detailed info. Would love to see a list of the average point value for each transfer partners. Delta Airlines, for example, has a point worth of about 0.9 cents. Choice Hotels points are worth about 0.6 cents each, and they have extremely limited availability when booking with points, which is a very poor value.

I searched and searched for the 100k offer before pulling the trigger. The best I could find was the 75k. As soon as I got my plat card, I saw an offer for the 100k… 😂 😂 😂 Well played amex… Well played.

Liam Olivia July 10, 2021 - 1:46 pm

I searched many times for 100k offer, the best I could get is 50k. but I was recommended to AmexBoiler on IG he gave me a good offer I taught it was a scam at 1st. But it finally work out I got 200k offer from him I recommend him 100%

I would say much harder than I originally expected but I quickly learned that Amex doesn’t make anything easy. They make you work to get maximum value which can be very frustrating but I’ll do it to get the best values
