I got a $700 line on freedom unlimited what the heck? All of my other lines are 2000, 3000, 4000…. My first and only chase card. What is going on?!

I was told by chase that they don’t automatically raise credit limits and I’d have to request it and that would be an inquiry. I was pleasantly surprised to see my limit was raised 5k recently! Glad I didnt have to take a hit on my report but also annoyed they gave me incorrect information

Why don't you mention hard inquiries? Requesting a higher credit limit is a hard inquiry.
