This is what I get for procrastinating… oh well. The Delta option by using a gift card balance for a portion of the fare isn't a terrible alternative. At least I got the 2020 credit!

Hi Waller and fans. I am currently as 4/24 with chase and need advice!

I have the IHG, Boundless, venture, and just downgraded CSP to unlimited (no more sapphire bonus)

What should my 5th card be?

Flex
Hyatt (would be third hotel card)
United explorer
SW priority
Wait??

Any advice would be great, thanks

I used my 250 travel credit from my aspire card on January 2nd but I waited for my platinum card since I had charged from alsaka to united so now im stuck with the 200. Not all too bad since I do plan on flying untied later this year so I'll just use the credit as it is intended for checked bags and seat assignments.

Used the travel bank on the 13th and Amex coded it as an airline ticket so I got 5x the points but I haven’t received the $200 credit for doing it, which sucks. So now idk what to do lol.

I will be ticked off if Amex claws back the travelbank credit as it does not appear to break any rules. If they did claw it back, I would likely not renew any of my high fee cards (platinum, aspire). I would just go back to Chase and put all my spending there. I hope Amex realizes we have lots of choices…

If they clawback that dumb credit. I'm out. Having the opportunity to use the credits in the future was one of the only reasons I kept my gold card, and the platinum card seemed to be a good deal with it.. but without it and without any air travel… might have to jump ship.

If I buy a Southwest gift card under $100 will that trigger the credit? I bought a $100 GC and it did not work.

I know Southwest tickets under $100 works. If I have a travel credit with Southwest, and it brings the cost of my ticket below $100, does that trigger the credit? Maybe a dumb question.

Couple of questions. Do you think they will extend the expiration date for those of us who earned the companion pass in 2020. So sad to have it for almost a year and didn’t use it once. If you book a Southwest flight for $50 and then cancel it and get a SW fund credit does that impact the Amex credit already given? Thanks for your help!

So glad I used the airline fee credit right before they closed it. I posted something in the group about the Companion Pass being extended but all I got were crickets. Anyway take care Dustin and keep the family safe!

Let's blame the pandemic for the delay of the X1 card. I totally forgot that card existed.
