Hi Sebby! You mention not downgrading during the first 12 months on a card. How bad is it, as regards applying for future cards with the same or other companies, if you downgrade after the 12 months? Can you say more about this blacklist idea? I'm planning on downgrading at card due to the high annual fee, to one in the same "family" (HH) that has no annual fee. They say they'll transfer the credit level over. We'll see. Thanks.

AmEx didn't offer any retention offers to me. They just offered to downgrade me to the Green card.

I am with CSP for 7 years and paying six years of AF now… average annual spending > $7.5k. I am an idiot..

I don't think they'll waive the annual fee on my Amex Cash Preferred card. I only use it for the 6% cash back categories and I pay it in full every month. I am what they would call a "deadbeat".

Hi. Question…. i went into amex in incognito mode for amex offers and found the amex platinum card for zero annual fee for the 1st year and then $175 thereafter along with $300 in statement credits after i spend $3,000 in the 1st 3 months…. however when card arrived the annual fee read $550 and i called in and they read a different offer which they claim is spend $2,000 in st 3 months and get $40,000 points …..
Very weird! Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Also how do you see you offers once approved? I'm very confused and feedback is greatly appreciated

@asksebby I really wanted to apply for this card, but didn't think I could get it. So I applied for the Gold card instead, and was approved. Immediately I thought damn, I should've applied for the Platinum. Is it worth it to apply for the Platinum now, or wait until after meeting the minimum spend on the Gold?

I have an MS Access account. Currently, it has less than $5k in it. I applied for cash plus plat online and it was automatically denied. Do I have to keep $5,000 in access, $5,000 deposits to cash plus plat, and $25,000 avg daily for this to work?

The information you talk mostly about regular AMEX platinum card and it doesn’t work on Business platinum. Can you have or make a exclusive business platinum video please.

I have a question with regards to getting the MS Platinum fee waived, would depositing your own personal check into the account monthly adding up to $5k fulfill that requirement to get your fee waived?

Reply
Farley Lai April 14, 2021 - 12:52 am

So repeatedly deposit and withdraw 5K monthly works with the Morgan Stanley Platinum CashPlus account?
Say, in addition to the 25K balance, deposit 5K early in the mont and then withdraw the 5K later in the month.
