🦷 The Venture X is my go to card for "everything else" spending.
🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷
Venture X was my first travel card. I researched many cards and I found this to have to most value for my needs. I am not into fancy trips but I like to travel. I am still trying to find the value in the Amex Platinum. Many in the travel hacking game have it but I cannot justify the $695 fee yet.

🦷 kinda wanna apply for venture x but i dont think i can spend 10k within 6 months lol ~

Where was the sushi at and what was the dish called with all those little dishes of assorted stuff?
🦷
Finally got venture X! 3rd time lucky
🦷
Capital One took a page from the Chase Sapphire Reserve playbook and gave their top tier card a straightforward and easy-to-use credit with some extra points sprinkled on top. And it’s a lot of the same benefits of the Platinum with a lower annual fee. Unless you really need the additional lounge options or you’re really into coupon booking, Venture X comes out on top for me. 🦷
I thought the venture X was getting a rework today
This is great I want to know how this compared to Chase Sapphire Reserved!

Thanks for the great content. My goal would be to get the Venture X. My largest expenditure is a mortgage so I can't pay it with a credit card. I want to finish off my Chase Trifecta before I get that one. These SUB spending will be difficult as I simply don't buy as much "stuff". I travel internationally once a year but I can avoid spending a lot with it by going on shoulder season and staying with relatives. My spending seems lower than other people.

Great video. One thing I would add is the Venture x is a credit card. The Amex Platinum in a charge card.
I currently have the platinum due to the 150k pt sign up and the 10x at restaurants. But that runs out in April 2022. I have the Venture card(4yrs account age) and have the ability to update to the Venture X with no hard pulls due to having a account. I am considering just upgrading to get the new VX card and dropping the platinum in November when renewal starts. But I’m worried they will take my points. I have a gold card that I got a 75k SUB in Feb 2022. The questions is will they keep my pts if I close the Plat but keep the Gold card open?? Thanks for the great videos as always
One thing, I get the Amex gives hotel status but I have to like the venture x for car rental status. You can match from hertz presidents circle to the other companies
How about if you don’t like Capital One but can’t justify the AX Platinum fees. What’s another alternative for a travel card? 🦷✈️

VentureX is getting VirginRed so it is Virgin Atlantic?
One of the things the venture x has going for it is you can create an easy 2 card system with the SavorOne. You then have a 2x card, travel bonus via the portal, and bonuses on dining, groceries and streaming. All in the same transferable points for a -$5 net annual fee.
Amex platinum card does come rental car insurance. It may be a new feature because it didn't come with my new Amex platinnum card. The information came after I book a trip and renta carl through Amex. The car insurance works like this When you pick up the rental car Amex will charge your platinum card for $39.95 if you use it to rent a care. That is a one time payment for a rental car insurance for up to 30 day stay. And, the insurance cover almost everything.
Great video. Venture x for me
Ayyyyyeeeee 🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷🪥🪥🪥🪥🪥🪥
Working on the Venture X bonus currently. The card was a no brainer. I’m not a VP level employee that travels constantly, or live in a downtown setting. I also don’t see a lot of value in the couponing aspect of the Plat. And for my spending habits, the Venture X + Savor out earn a comparable Chase stack. The bonus should be easy peasy as we’re renovating a condo next month too. Plus we’re already cashing in on the perks. Taking a trip to Austin next month for the Moto GP race and redeemed our $300 credit already and using Hertz Presidential for our rental… 🦷🦷🦷
Have both CSR and Venture X. If I didn't have so many UR points to redeem, I would've downgraded the CSR and stuck to the Venture X for this year.
