Can I book SFO to MNL using ANA?
painfully awkward but super helpful as always haha thx guys
Nerds
Question. I recently flew AA and I had a main cabin not the basic economy(the one you are eligible for upgrades), then on the day of the flight I upgraded to main cabin extra to get the extra leg room but when I got to the airport turns out i was upgrade to business class. Now the question Is I paid with my amex platinum and I got 60$ dollars for the incidental charge( that's how much it was to upgrade from main cabin to main cabin extra butt now AA also sent a reimbursement of 60$ to my amex account. I was wondering why did AA reimburse me and if amex is going to take back the 60$ credit they game me for the incidental charge?
Wow! My two favorite points guys! Nice to see you two collaborating! Just gotta add Credit Shifu for the Trifecta collab?!
I can’t tell if one guy is tall or if one guy is short until they both sat down on the couch. One guy is short based on how small he looked on the couch. I would guess 62” tall early in the morning with shoes on, which makes him ideal size for flying economy class and renting small cost effective economy class vehicles. Also, he would be able to sleep on hotel lobby couches without issues.
Love the collaboration! Is being an authorized user for AmEx automatically disquailfy you for the 100k bonus? Thanks!
Another awesome video! I also want to mention don’t forget about the chase travel portal (especially if you have the chase Sapphire Reserve which allows you to book at 1.5cts/pt). This typically works out to be the absolute cheapest point redemptions if you are looking to only fly domestic economy or stay in a sub $100 hotel room.
So oddly enough, I actually got the 100k platinum offer after being a Gold customer for a while.
Would love to see more videos on point redemption
Love the collaborations AND what you both agree on and another’s options from a different perspective! So nice to see other side of the coin so to speak.
Great point about maximizing the _experience's value_, rather than CPP value. Instead, put a floor value on points currencies, below which value I'll pay cash instead. Don't forget to consider additional taxes/fees, as well as points earned when paying cashing (often a factor when using a promotion and/or portal).
Sebastian, could you do a video on the BOA Amtrak credit card. Looks like it could be very useful.
HELP: I'm targeted for 100k AMEX platinum. If I get the Hilton Honors Surpass(130k) offer expiring today(8/28), will I lose that platinum offer since I'll already be a AMEX customer then?
If you want to destroy your credit get a Chase card
Thanks for reminding me about the Trip Astute, I had forgotten to subscribe to him on this new account 😀
Love watching your videos and the guest.
Amex Platinum is actually very easy to get using Global Transfer. only card you can get without SSN nor credit history
when you are a Dave Ramsey fan , is it weird that i’m watching these guys 😂😂😂?
wish I could get Chase cards without SSN
Best video I’ve seen yet! Thank you!
I want to redeem my chase points for singapore airlines mileage so that I can book a flight to singapore. Do you have any suggestions to get better value for flights to singapore? Right now, the chase points gives me a 1:1 transfer rate.
Good point at the end about not getting to hung up on point valuations when redeeming for travel. Being efficient is key, but if the points get you the experience YOU desire, then it works. I transferred just over 5K MR points to Marriott in order to top up my Bonvoy account so i could get a 2nd night at a Sheraton before going on 10 year wedding anniversary cruise. The final value of the pricing was less then 2 cpp, but the small transfer of MR points allowed me to get the 2nd night with my wife in a nice resort location before catching the cruise ship. Good talk you guys!!
Damit sebby u convinced me to get this Hyatt card I’m following your advice 🤗 keep the good vids coming !
how do I get "targeted"? Although I do have a Delta Gold card so maybe that prevents.
I had banked up URs between a Freedom and a CSP (formerly a JPM Select), and with a minor points buy, I was able to take my SO to NYC and stay at the (brand new) Park Hyatt there for a week @ 30k pts per night. Considering the actual pricing at the time, our return on those points was insane. 🙂
Does Jet SuiteX work with any of the points programs (Chase, AmEx, etc.)
TY
I completely agree with his obsession with Hyatt Place! I travel a lot for business and have stayed at so many different variations of hotels, and Hyatt Place is one of my favorite ‘economic’ hotels!!
Cool.
show me the ropes Sebby!!! Willing to put in the time to maximize travel…how do I start? Thanks Sebby!!
