Episode Description
Another big #Vegas casino has announced an expansion including a new tower and hundreds of new rooms. Following their very successful partnership as the official hotel of the Raiders the M Resort has announced a $206 million expansion including a new tower and more. After selling Tropicana it seems that Penn National Gaming is looking to spend some of their proceeds.
In other #news we also learned that #MandalayBay will be paying $100M to completely overhaul their convention center. An upgraded design plus tons of new tech will be on offer when it is completed in 2024. We also discuss the When We Were Young music festival and its interesting tickets, how Flamingo wants to charge $100 for a Pepsi and why the minor league concessions in Vegas aren’t a good deal at all.

M Resort is very nice! I'm from the Gulf South and if we can afford a car rental, we spend our time there. Beautiful rooms, nice comps, and very good restaurants. Oh and one other thing, during the holidays they put out a Nativity Scene and a Menorah near the hotel lobby. I've never seen a resort do that, A+ in my book!
The M is the Official Raiders Team Headquarters hotel. So the M gets business from people visiting the headquarters. Agents, scouts, prospective players, etc.
Love the new format. Keep em coming!
I enjoy staying at the M.
Its $250 general admission, and then they have the nerve to charge you $40 for a bottle of water.
The Chris Angel comments stopped being funny a hundred times ago
Chris Angel needs to make himself disappear..
Going this year to that festival and next year!
I made it a point to check out mandalay bay on my last trip. I really liked the property, it feels to me like the Venetian and Mirage had a baby and MB was the result. Although it was fairly empty during the week, I liked the vibe and enjoyed gambling there. Could see this being a more family friendly option on the strip.
You guys don't know? The Raiders really do stay there before home games and they travel together by bus to the stadium. (At least they did when they first opened. I haven't heard talk of it in a while.)
The When We Were Young festival is going to be SO NOT WORTH IT. It's a Day event with over 50 bands. The bands will each play for 13mins on Multiple Stages which means if Offspring AND Sum41 are playing at the same time, you'd have to make a choice which one you'd want to see. Vegas is notorious for being unorganized.
I'd go for the Price tag but not for a single day and definitely not outdoors.
I can't believe it's sold out!
This Chris Angel reference is one of the classics. Seemed like it was served up. Cracks me up every time.
I know it's not apples to apples, but the concessions prices at the Seattle Kraken games is more than crazy. I think it's $18+ for a beer? Lunacy.
We'll see your Golden Knights on Saturday!
#LetsGoKraken
I think there is a segment of Las Vegas visitors want to be in Vegas, but not around the chaos, noise and crowds which is the strip… not to mention the rising street crime levels.
I would stay at The M, I have been staying at Red Rock lately. But looking forward to the opening of The Durango and Dream, both properties have great potential.
In 2023……October 2023. Festival.
PENN National is now officially called PENN Entertainment.
Ran to the vending at Caesars condoms 100$ worth every cent
I'm just here for the chriss angel slander, now twice a week !! Hahahaha
Great channel…much enjoyed.
Wow Mandalay already has super entry level rooms. I think I’m going to make the Uber trip to see shark reef. Other than that it’s location is probably it’s biggest problem.
Mark you missed it the M casino needs those extra rooms for the new Cris Angel theatre. Also raiders hotel I am never going there but they must have a dispensary on site.
Shout out Jets Pizza
Gone to Vegas every 6 to 10 years since 1985. Latest trip was 2 weeks ago and it was probably my last. The mob didn't rip people off when they ran things. The casino's shud be ashamed for the way they nickel and dime customers.
I'm an old guy…so it would be an '80s festival for me
I would like 1 ticket where chris angle makes my poo dissapear please. I wonder if they had to give anyone a refund for the $100 soda, I mean the price was displayed mistake or not. I always press the buttons to see if they are sold out before I put my money in. When I do that the price does show up. I am going to look every time now for sure, Thanks guys
I like the looks of the M Resort. Might want to try that sometime. Thanx for the updates. Stay safe.
$15.00, for popcorn 🍿 that is stupid
11:10 The Henderson Knight's have only played like 10 home games ( 2022 playoffs) ever at Dollar Loan center. They played most of the 2021/2022 season at the Orleans while Dollar Loan was being built.
The 2022/2023 season starts tonight. I'm guessing concession prices were set high to see if people pay then drop rather quickly…………….. Even the seat prices ( as high as $150 per ticket with fees) are insane for a minor league game, SRO is a bargain at $18.50 a ticket, lol
They better get used to playing before a lot of empty houses
The Silver Knights will start the season playing at the Orleans Arena on Friday, October 15, 2022 vs. the Colorado Eagles.
The Silver Knights will move to the Dollar Loan Center on Saturday, April 2, 2022where they will face the Bakersfield Condors in their first ever contest in their new home. Henderson will play a total of eight games at the brand new, state-of-the-art community facility to finish the regular season.
Hi Shawn and Mark! Love these two days per week updates. Mark; you are absolutely hilarious! Great sense of humor! Enjoy your weekend you two!. CAB😊
Woohoo! Air-conditioned restrooms 😮 Not a good idea, as people will be sitting on the toilet, texting their friends while cooling off. In the meantime, others will be impatiently waiting for their turn to take a legitimate crap 😂
M Resort needs to bring back that BUFFET!!!!!!!!!!
that awas a great video ty for all the inf we can all count on yu
Check out the obnoxious festival map for When We Were Young, the only way to stand close to the ‘Pink Stage’ is to have VIP.
Great video!
Planning to go to the Snow Carnival at the M Resort in mid-December, if the tickets are not too pricey. Looking forward to seeing real "snow; another nice alternative to experience away from the "Strip" madness.
It's not just Vegas where the prices for concessions at minor league hockey games are going up. I live in Seattle & one of our two minor league teams in the area (Seattle Thunderbirds) recently raised the price of a bottled soda from $4 to $8 & pretzels are $10.
$12 for parking at the Dollar Loan Center for a Silver Knights game. I can just imagine what the concessions prices are going to be. Won't be parking there and doubt we will we be eating or drinking anything there. Will be going to our first game there and maybe our last!
M Resort has great restaurants LV Players do stay there during off season. Saw a few in May. They have a great reward card offers. Heads up hold em table games are there
