Completely agree about Omega Mart being too packed to enjoy. Been there twice, first time was lighter and easier to move around.

So is Omega Mart a souvenir store that you pay $49 to visit ? 🤔

I've never been there nor have plans on going but in a town where they charge you 30 dollars for virtual rides on the strip this place seems like a good value and another good attraction for non-gamblers.

Taking a road trip through New Mexico in February 2019, I spent a few days in Santa Fe letting a snowstorm pass by. Meow Wolf and multiple other businesses had shut down because of snow, so I did not get to visit Meow Wolf, but I remember the price was under $20. It was not an Omegamart exhibit, but something probably similar. I agree that price is horrible. I will probably go see Beatles Love for $70 a second time next month instead. At least you get alcohol at Lost Distillery, seems like a cool experience. Nice vlog, thanks guys!

I agree omegamart is cool but not worth the price

We went to Area 15. Very expensive especially considering ya don’t get much for the money. Even employees were complaining.

I went to Omega Mart in July 21. It was just starting to become popular, so it was relatively busy, but not crazy. They used to give the “boop” cards for free, but it’s probably best that they are charging for them (They opened that way in Denver with Convergence Station.). I went in only watching YouTube content created by Meow Wolf and i was amazed by how detailed it was. I agree it’s not for everyone but if you enjoy open world exploring, it’s a mind trip. If you want to get into the story, plan AT LEAST 4 hours. It takes about an hour and a half to get adjusted then once you’re into the discovery, you want to keep going.

I agree Area 15 overall is expensive but it’s so unique and I think we need more places like it.

Thank you for the detailed information Shawn and Mark. Shawn, I value your opinion so if it's not worth the money…

I went to Area15 on opening day and had fun checking out the art for free. Then went to Meow Wolf-Omega Mart at their opening day. I found the crowds were lighter at opening time and I wouldn't be able to deal with heavy crowds. I had a blast-spent 2 hours there and could've spent more time. As for pricing, the souvenirs were too pricey for my budget. But I thought the admission price was fair. I mean really, some side dishes are $49 at some restaurants. I'd rather spend the money on an art experience. 😀

Well I work at Omega Mart… I have to correct you about the "boop" card game. It is not a "story" card. It is an interactive game you can play… but it does not explain the storyline to you. You do not need the card to understand the story. Omega Mart is intentionally confusing, and you are supposed to explore and figure the storyline out on your own.

The card game is for more serious guests who wish to role play and pretend they are a character in the story. This is why we charge extra (a nominal fee) because it's meant for people who want to get really involved. We used to give the cards away to everyone, and it only caused more problems, because the cards only confused people more. By charging for the cards, we make sure a staff member explains it to you first, so you understand what you're getting yourself into.

As for the capacity issue you mentioned… I'm guessing you went on a Friday or Saturday?? All of Area 15 is over crowded on weekends. Come on a Tuesday and you'll enjoy it a lot more.

Coomer & Ostermann! Keep up the great work! I still haven’t checked out Area 15 in all my visits to LV. Got to put it in my bucket list & visit it the next time I’m there.

Went to Area15 on a weekday so it was crowded but not ridiculous. I appreciate that entrance is free, so it's a trippy place to walk around and take cool pictures. We didn't do the extra stuff that you have to pay additional for, OmegaMart, Distillery or art installations. The bar area with the big tree is cool to get a drink and ppl watch.

They charge for the boop card now? I went on weekdays to begin with because i' was still in a covid world mindset, so i got to dive into the folklore all day. The ztory IS cool, and i could argue you can see all it just by watching others interact w the video screens they need to for clues and skills to continue the investigation. I went 3 times total, and will go back w someone new to see things rhru thrm. They make no secret that the story leads to a later expansion of "beyond rhe market," so def get caught up before that happens

OHn get a boop card, because you can save things onto it and do your deep dive theories after you do "everything." Things are very different when you learn what each faction's goals are, the trail of where people could be, etc. People hog the terminals to watch the whole thing and that's what crowds things up when they can look at all that later. I made a clue notebook to follow everything, including phone numbers. I'm really into it. I found 2 hidden things employees didnt even know about that they now help others… learn?

I suggest you guys organize a Vegas "Ostermann Weekend," but not like the Sam Peckinpaugh movie.
