The Las #Vegas #Strip is full of megaresorts these days, but one hotel really bridged the gap between old Vegas and the new era that we see today. Opening in 1973 as MGM Grand, today’s #Ballys was the largest hotel in the world at the time of opening.
Despite being closed for awhile after Las Vegas reopened, Bally’s finally opened its doors to guests. I recently stayed in a Resort King Room for $30 per night plus tax. My resort fee was waived thanks to my Founderscard membership. In this video you’ll see a full room tour, a few walks around the casino plus many of the interesting quirks that help Bally’s stand alone.
Have you ever stayed here? Share your experiences with Bally’s/Old MGM Grand in the comments! I’d love to hear about them!

Here is more info on Founderscard including all of the perks. https://milestomemories.com/founderscard-review-guide/
You kind of zipped by the bars. Were they open, people there??? We haven't been for a while and we plan to go back soon. A little worried about the cleanliness of the rooms, based on other posts. How did things appear to you? Thanks for your review, very well done.
Wow. What a beautiful hotel, i always thought it was old and run down, u did say its been renovated. I have never bothered to go in because its always a hot mess with all the crowds in that area. We'll be back in December, maybe the crowds will still be lite so we can check it out.
Any tips on getting a room in the south tower with the view of the Eiffel tower and fountain?
Is there a electric Roulette slot machine ?
Thank you for the video! We are from Southern California, and we always choose to stay at Bally's for it's central location on the strip, reasonable hotel prices, and we always loved getting the exact room you showed! We also love that it's not as "busy" as the surrounding modern casinos, and we could always walk to Paris for a quick change of pace.
The shops and eateries in the area that connects Paris and Bally's is always great to walk through (the Crepe shop is always a must-stop), as well as the little mimosa window right across.
We look forward to returning to Vegas as soon as everything gets better! Thank you again for the great content, and look forward to more of your videos!
Bro I’m a huge fan! You haven’t done the Mandalay Bay!! Why not!?
Bally’s is probably the best value in Vegas. All the rooms are recently renovated and the location is great. I’ve gone out every year for March Madness for the past 4 years up until this past year. We usually always stay at Bally’s or Paris. Only complaint about Bally’s is the casino itself is one of the worst of all the Caesars properties and the sports book location is terrible. Also there’s not very many good places to eat inside the property that you can get comps for other than Burger Brassiere. Except Sterling Brunch. I see they’ve recently opened a Nobu though which is much needed. I do like the Paris casino though which is why we’ve stayed there the past 2 years. Hopefully the COVID vaccine can be safely and widely distributed over the next few months because I’m having severe Vegas withdrawals
My first time to Las Vegas, in 1991, I stayed at Bally’s. It’s had quite a few refurbishing and upgrades since I was there. My room had a nice view of the side street and the side ofbthe hotel across the street; I lose track of that was O’Shays or Barbary Coast (both have changed since then, as have many, many others.) nothing particularly fancy, on the order of what you’d find from Holiday Inn, Ramada or other mid-range hotels elsewhere. The bed was comfortable and it had a couple comfortable easy chairs. TV was okay, for 1991 standards, and included pay-per-view movie choices; something still fairly new at the time. While I’d been to Vegas several more times, I often visited the casino but never stayed there again.
My first time in Las Vegas in 2007 , I stayed at Bally's and it was not a pleasant start. after i check in there was something wrong with the room and they said they didn't have rooms ready , so i went to get something to eat when i went back to my room i could not get in. They check me out and gave the room to someone else with my luggage in the room. the guy in the room was very honest and got my luggage back. went back down to front desk and they told me they were sold out but then they found a room. Never again i will stay there Last 3 times i stayed at Harrah's.
Great tour 👍🏻
Is the Bert & Anton Theatre still operating?
I'm staying there 2 nights March 27,28! Cool vid! Very informative! I choose the Jubilee Tower I reserved the king strip view and apparently from what I saw on other vids it has a view of the Paris Eiffel Tower and the fountains so that should be awesome! Again thanks for posting this vid! I will subscribe!
I am a Ceasar's Diamond (through matching), and plan to stay at a Ceasar's casino at the end of March. I will be with my family (including kids ages 10 and 6), so we want a pool (if it is open) and a clean room. Do you have a ranking of the Ceasar's hotels? We were planning on Bally's due to price.
whats the jubilee tower like?
When we goto Vegas we usually stay at Ballys. Always have had a good experience. Great location to head anywhere on the strip.
I got to Vegas more than anybody and never thought to do a blog!! Super stupid I am!! I’ve stayed at almost every hotel and the old turn down one’s too!! I love your blog!! I’m headed back to Vegas tomorrow just got back last week
$30 per night? hell you can stay. 30 days and it cost $900 cheaper than my rent lol
Live in AZ and visit Vegas fairly often. ALWAYS stay at Bally’s; best place around & excellent location!
The Resort Tower hallways themselves are a relic of Days Gone By. You could drive a golf cart down those hallways. Today, space is at such a premium you will never see a hallway that large, or those nice sitting areas near the elevators.
One of the things I always liked about Ballys was the pool, which, having been built in the late 1970s, is deep. That usually means it's nice and cold, which is great in the summer heat.
I have stayed in that room – well, technically a room just like it, just a few floors lower. I was there in 2019, around Christmas 2020, and will be there in mid-April and over Thanksgiving 2021. I like it.
It’s been a great trend to install flat screen TVs and removing those huge, ugly armoires that took up so much floor space. Nicely upgraded bath, too….I’ve always liked Bally’s!! Many happy visits there, including a stay in one of the goofy suites with the whirlpool tub out in the room!!
Funny…I prefer a long, skinny casino to a sprawling monster like MGM! Glad you got to stay at Bally’s…it’s a great location! I’ve had many nice things happen here…left $20 bucks in a machine once and was able to get it back cuz a kind staff member retrieved it and contacted me about it using my slot card; helped a guy look for a loose diamond he dropped outside the jeweler’s in the Mall area..funny to see several folks scuttling around on the floor outside the door…and we found it! Went to a pre-screening of the tv series “Heroes” there (got $20 bucks and popcorn too for my review…loved that series!) Randomly found $32 in an empty dresser drawer there…never figured that one out; won $250 bucks on the huge slot machine in the Paris-Bally’s corridor..paid out in $1 tokens, I think! And loved playing video poker just outside the Indigo Lounge when one of the R&B bands was performing. Good times….and I heard the name will soon be changed to “Horseshoe”! Love your vids!
I booked Bally’s for my May trip. The nice bathroom was one of the reasons I decided on Bally’s. I’m loving the renovations. Can’t wait to go.
3 night At Bally in June
What did Ballys do with the Ziegfled theater! Famous for hoisting the Dean Martin celebrity roasts.

That's Paradise not Vegas.
$30 PER NIGHT? What a steal!…
Blue ribbon fried chicken is awesome!!
pls do nobu hotel next
Great video from start to finish thanks for the tour.
that dealer at 16:34 is the best. he is very hilarious and good entertainment. why pay for a comedy show in vegas when you can just go this blackjack dealer
I stayed at Bally's this past June.it was my first time there and I loved it. Will stay again even if I don't get a good deal from Ceasar's Rewards.
Have great memories of Bally’s pleased to see it’s still there.
Love Bally's!
That CVS is definitely super clutch and convenient being right down the street. Went there more than a few times on my trip this month.
Blue ribbon fried chicken is great for a late night snack… You have to try their smoked Mac n cheese
I remember that fire that was the biggest news on TV that day
Hey Shawn, How is the walk to the Bally's check-in lobby and then check-in lobby to the room elevators?? I have disabled elderly coming with me and its difficult on them, if its a long walk?? Is the pool you showed closer to Paris Casino?….or actually Paris Casino's pool?
Lastly, how would you rank the Caesars Las Vegas properties based on:
Parking structure to get to the check-in lobby
Things to do inside the Casino
Room cleanliness, noises coming from other rooms
Affordability
Thanks for your video Shawn……
This was fun!
For a diamond player his room is CRAP. Real V.I.P Players get far nicer rooms
Great video. Is Bally's connected to Ceasar's Palace?
