Love your videos! Do you keep your points when downgrading cards in year 2?
I don't understand why people value Marriott points so low. I always get more than one cent per point. I would value this bonus at $1200. I find it easier to get this than .02 per point on Hyatt.

Don't tease me with the Chase Ritz-Carlton card!!! This is why I struggle between the Marriott Boundless or the Brilliant Card. I'm starting to split my time between Hilton and eventually Hyatt. I still like Marriott for service consistency. Citi AA card, PASS (b/c of Citi and AA). I already have the CSR, so no need for CSP. BofA Virgin Atlantic card, PASS (due to BofA). But may consider in later years. Virgin use cases are good (Delta or ANA). The AMEX Delta cards, I have to analyze further so see what the changes will mean for me (YMMV). I used to have my eye on the Delta Platinum, but I don't know now. Plus I have a few cards to get before I change (or grab) any new Delta cards. Thanks, Sebby!!
So I can upgrade my Marriott card for the Ritz card and it doesn’t count as one of my 5/24? If I upgrade will I get the sign up bonus for the Ritz Carlton?

Speaking of Citi AAdvantage card, Barclay's is offering 60,000 points with their AAdvantage Aviator Red World Elite Mastercard while ON an AA flight. Typically a $95 annual fee but first year waived. No minimum spend but have to use the card at least once before the promotional period end – in my case, by October 31st. They used an example of buying a cup of coffee from Starbucks and you get your 60,000 miles. There is a promotion ID on the form they give you. Plus the typical in flight discounts, free first baggage check in, etc.
How would Chase know if you have the Amex versions of the Marriott card? Your credit report? I thought the CR just had account numbers and not product names

Hey Sebby. I got rejected by Barclays AA RED card today even with an 815 credit score. When should I apply for citi AA. Barclays literally counted one by one on all my cards this year as if I was ashamed. Does citi behave this way? I do have a Home Depot citi card

A little confused on the CSP note you have about CSR portal year 2 upgrade? I thought even if you held any sapphire card within the past 48 months will not be able to upgrade? I've had my CSP for almost 3…and not sure is it worth upgrading to CSR for a month and half long trip next year or just keep the CSP and upgrade for 50k more bonus later?
I bet Marriott noticed a drop in their applicants after they devalued their points. I would only consider that card after acquiring the Hyatt card. 🤓

Hi, whats the downgrade path for the CitiBusiness American Airlines Platinum Select card? I know that the first year is waived, but I can't seem to find one on their website that is no AF. Could it be downgraded to the Costco Citi card?
I took the bait and applied for the Delta Platinum for the 75k offer. On Oct8 I purchased a $50 delta gift card on my laptop from delta.com. On Oct10 I received the full $100 statement credit posted on the Amex app. So that still works.
@sebby, There aren't too many reviews online about the HSBC credit cards. Their WorldElite MasterCard in particular looks pretty good with a 50k sign up bonus, useful bonus categories and lounge access. Would be keen to hear your thoughts.

In canada , with 730 credit score I was declined for Amex platinum as I applied after 15 days of getting the Amex Gold Card ! Whilst US guys getting 2 cards in a Day 😩
