This week USA Today released a number of Las #Vegas and casino related 10 Best awards and we discuss them. From the surprising choices for “Best Vegas casino” to top Player’s Clubs, casino restaurants and Vegas attractions there are a number of surprises on the lists.
In other #news Buffalo Bill’s in #Primm has basically been closed since March, 2020 but it reopened last weekend for a concert and we’ll show you what it looks like inside. What is left of the casino, the rides and how do they staff a casino that has only been opened 6 days in the past 2 1/2 years. Egg Slag is OK, not great. There hash browns are low grade. Skip. Just get the sandwich. The real adventure in LV is finding really good coffee…and NO Starbucks doesn't cut it

The top ten lists remind me of the old Vegas billboards and in room magazines where literally every show and restaurant was voted best.

A few weeks a go on my return trip to SoCal from Vegas I stopped at Whiskey Petes. The Bonnie and Clyde death automobile is no longer there, and they pulled all the table games out also. Asking the players club about video poker, all those machines (game kings) were pulled and only a handful at the bar remain. The Mad Greek which has a restaurant in Baker had opened a second spot in Primm, they left also. I do know they are a A- Play property, same as Silver Sevens, so they might pull some employees from Vegas to help. I am not sure how Primm is staying open and could follow Jean's demise soon. I did hit $200 on a quarter slot machine, so it was worth the stop. Nice work guys!!
Taco bell cantina also had a crazy long azzed line!!! (also, egg slut is meh, at best.) Wow, you can tell the old folks mostly voted on this. Yikes.
I got a room deal recently from Downtown Grand $140 total for 4 nights. I've never stayed there but it was cheap enough for me to plan another trip. I haven't been since June but we're doing Vegas next week baby!
Cosmopolitan also allows you to convert your Identity Rewards points to Marriott Bonvoy points.
It sounds like some senior manager at the D told all employess to go vote for the D as the best vegas casino.
Eggslut is OK. It may be a little overhyped due to social media.
Simply not getting the MGM snub. Since the program change last year, we're crushing with their offers, upgrades and resort credits. AND you get double points through the end of 2022. Sure, they take some back in the casino generally but that's up to us to mitigate. CP #1? Whatevs. This poll gets 0 cred in our book.

Beware Absinthe. I went (comped) with a buddy and we were both wearing plaid shirts so the Emcee dude made about a hundred gay couple jokes at our expense. I think the jokes might have been even more offensive if we were gay. Anyway, it's pretty low grade insult humor mixed with acrobatics.
You know it depends on what criteria you judge the casinos. If it's odds and rules that aren't set to squeeze every penny out of the player as fast as possible, than downtown is better. I always do better downtown gambling wise. IF you're talking about the whole property as a whole, it's hard for any property downtown to compete with the strip properties. (Except maybe the Nugget and Circa.)
Top Ten List are determined by who pays the most to the poll taker.
Little people know at Ceasars has tier levels to the diamond card but not to be told to guest just inside info. (Worked in reward) getting to a diamond status is the minimum also inside tier level for 7 star this is told to guest and info available to unlock benefits also unspoken card for whales (rare)
I agree that Circa should have made the list. You would think the water feature inside the sports book would count for something. Maybe next year.

The top 10 attractions list seems (mostly) reasonable to me. The Mob Museum has a legitimate case for it's spot, and the rest of the list doesn't strike me as too bad.
The top 10 Vegas casino list, OTOH, is a joke.
That casino list is audibly laughable – I love going to freemont a lot but even on freemont D wouldn’t even hit my list.
That is actually the 3rd year in a row that the D has won that poll. It makes sense if it's always the same people voting but as you say, the criteria for what is 'best' is never explained. In general it has to be said that the Downtown properties have made more of an effort to keep the human touch when dealing with their customers and of course it's so much cheaper than staying on the strip anyway so that is probably a big factor.

Wow your Buffalo Bills photographer needs to be told that still shots are still a thing. There should be a motion sickness warning on your video. Yikes. Terrible stuff. Buying a camera does not make you a photographer.
Meanwhile, just west on Flamingo is some of the actual best pizza in the country, at Monzú Italian Oven + Bar. Dough made with wild yeast and fermented 5 days, oven imported from Italy, etc. And very reasonably priced. Get off the damn Strip!
lol….considering how all casinos 'cheaped-out' at hiring enough housekeeping staff for the rooms, imagine how much cleaning they do in their gyms? Just hire a minimum wage person to hose down the equipment with a garden hose & spray the room with 'Fabreeze'. You'd have to pay me to use their gym (and I'd have to be supplied a hazmat suit).

The resort fee is not for internet, gym, parking, pool or anything else if you don't need or use that stuff, its a mandatory room fee otherwise known as a room rate.

Did someone recently go into all 1242 rooms to put clean sheets on the beds, as well clean towels? What about dusting and vacuuming the rooms? I doubt they would do all of that for a weekend. And the buffet? Did they just freeze all of the leftovers from the last time the buffet was open and will just thaw and heat them now? No thanks 😛As always, great show, guys!!
