Just got the IHG card 2 weeks ago with a 125k offer. Is there a way to get this new 140k offer? Would it be contacting Chase or IHG? Any tips?

I don’t see the public 140k offer. I only see the 80k after 2k spend.

I'm not impressed. Why? I'm at 5/24, so it doesn't matter how big the offer is…I can't do nothing about it. Think about this, the last big offer was 125k. Well, many people are at 5/24 and couldn't take advantage of it. IHG doesn't know that. IHG just sees that the 125k offer wasn't big enough for people to apply. So, they raised it to 140k. Same thing is going to happen…people are going to get denied because of 5/24. It's not an IHG issue with getting people cards….it's a Chase issue because of 5/24. If Chase gets rid of that dumb rule, IHG will get a lot more card holders even with a 80k signup bonus.

I spotted a Holiday Inn in my hometown for $103 per night, or 10,000 points. That's slightly better than 1 cent per point!

What do you think of the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless vs the IHG premiere. They both have a increased offer. I was thinking to get the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless, but should I change my thoughts?

So would one have to have (2) IHG rewards accounts in order to get IHG Premier card and still maintain the legacy IHG card?

I think any Hotel card with a annual free night is worth it. Always pay for themselves. When I finally get below 5/24, I’ll be going for IHG premier, Marriott boundless and Hyatt cards. Hyatt first though.

If you within the last 24months you’ve received 3 Chase cards as the Primary, and 2 Chase cards as an Authorized User, are you under 5/24?

Also, does the Chase Amazon Prime credit card count toward 5/24?

It's on my list of hotel cards to get in the future. Don't think I'll get it now even though the sign up bonus is tempting.

That is awesome that you waived your referral bonus to let us know about a potentially better offer on their website. I think this offer is worth the application if you have all the Ultimate Rewards points cards you want and have a 5/24 slot open. 2 years…I am missing out on a lot of good stuff. Thanks for news on this upgraded offer Dustin, take care and happy travels!

Have you actually seen/have data points that you can get 140K with $50 statement credit thru dummy booking? I’m only seeing the straight 140K, with no statement credit. Thanks

Ty for mentioning the $50 statement credit option. Some people would not mention this. Subbed

If I downgrade the CSP to $0 fee, do I still get points? And can I redeem those on chase portal still? Or do I lose all points access?

This card has always interested me however I’m concerned with these massive bonuses and that 40x promotion that there are so many IHG points floating around that devaluation is coming because of “inflation.”

Hey Waller, totally off topic, but I've got some arrogant people bragging about $30,000 in first class Cathay Pacific flights, on relatively low spend, earned in one year. Would that be signup bonuses, or lucrative redemptions, or some kind of transfer rate?

Great offer, we've been staying at a couple Holiday Inns lately. We're picky with mattresses, and I'm finding Marriott mid tier properties increasingly inconsistent. We've stayed at two Springhills and two Townplace Suites in a relatively short timeframe, with a vastly different product. If Sheraton and Westin ever take a hit, at least with sleep quality, I may switch to IHG.

I really liked your video on this card. I've been looking to get it for a while now and was looking to sign up through your affiliate link but couldn't find one in the description or through your website. Can you reply with a direct link so you can get some commission?

Points expiration clarification: The fine print states the following "Points expiration: The points transferred to your IHG Rewards Club account will not expire as long as there is IHG Rewards Club program activity for 12 consecutive months, depending on your status." ***Does this mean my rewards club needs activity every month? I'm guessing points transfered to the club account counts as activity, therefore does it appear that I have to use the credit card on a monthly basis to generate the club activity?**

I tried a dummy booking and the only offer it showed was a 50k point offer + $150 statement credit. I ended up using your referral link for my wife and she got insta-approved!
