Last summer, we saw a family walking up the Strip, pulling one of those Walgreens baskets, which they'd stolen and turned into a baby stroller. That jumped to the No. 2 spot in our "Top Five Trashiest Things We've Ever Seen in Las Vegas Since 1991."

This past weekend, we saw two police cars per block on the Strip, lights flashing, parked right near the sidewalks. It was obvious that they were there to make the huge throngs of people feel safe.

Really hope security and police step it up in Vegas. No one wants to get stabbed for no reason while enjoying themselves

Sorry Mark, ND all the way. I went to Notre Dame High School for girls in Chicago. It's a thing. Also, driving up to Vegas tomorrow. After the new stabbing incident I am leary about walking the strip now even during the day. Not as young as I used to be and don't move as fast. I love all things Vegas but this makes me sad. Thanks for the great show guys!

The two killed were a show girl and a Canadian (Alberta) tourist. Very sad. LV is starting to feel different. Have visited 2 x yearly since late 90’s. All-star weekend years ago was terrifying. But more notable homelessness than ever before. Very complicated social issue.

When I was a kid and my parents gambled, at least they did it at Circus Circus so I could play the arcade games. This was back when it was safe to drop your kids off anywhere. Unfortunately, we were poor, and I ran out of money long before they were done gambling.

Even though Tillman Fertitta already owns the Golden Nugget downtown, I still like another operator opening a casino on The Strip. I’m not a fan of the MGM and Caesars duopoly.

This isnt even a uniquely American issue, Canada has mass shootings and stabbins all of the time noways even in remote rural towns. I feel just as safe walking down the strip as I do walking through downtown Toronto, which is safe is both places

Sad about the stabbings. We were in Vegas in Oct. last year and the homeless population was bad and from what I understand it's getting worse. You'd think with all the money the casinos have they could figure something to do regarding this situation. They'd still make a fortune. Thanx for the updates. Stay safe.

Hey guys, when did every new restaurant or hotel have to become a f@%#ing "concept?" That's simply marketing bull** used to make something sound more interesting than it truly is. PLEASE stop using that term! Rant over.

I’m cancelling my trip. Safety is a bigger and bigger issue. Also the casinos have decided that raising prices higher and higher is their business model. Comps are disappearing and the regular gamblers aren’t appreciated. Maybe if and when they decide to make it a gambling town instead of a destination resort city.

Pay attention to your surroundings. Get off the stupid phone, look around. Street entertainers need to pay attention as well. This is real life people.

When I was 18 (18 years ago) I remember at every casino security was on us like hawks and we were literally just walking from the room to the strip. Now adays I see ppl all the time ordering beer at the bar with a baby in there hand, kids under 10 standing next to their parents while they gamble and sometimes at like 3am (its terrible). Love how Mark is always making jokes and almost going off topic and Shawn has to reel him back in.

It seems that California is trying to dump all their hobos, homeless and crazy illegals in other states, such as Texas, Arizona and Nevada. Before the municipal government in Las Vegas authorize the construction of new casinos and hotels they should make sure that the city has the security forces in place to deter these criminals who want to settle in the area after being expelled from CA.

You guys shouldn’t sugar coat the stabbing on the strip. The guy was here illegally. This should of NEVER happened. I refuse to go to Vegas due to the crime. During my Vegas trips I’ve had a car stolen out of Valet, I had my charge card number given out to someone who ran up a $5k bill. I had my license plates stolen at the NYNY and ended up getting banned for complaining. Crazy town.
