Many people have dogs that need to be kenneled while the owners travel. 3x on pet food stores and kenneling services would attract pet owners attention.

Yeah the data breach is not a good look, especially considering that many companies before them went through the same thing, you think they would have stepped it up. But no. Anyways like Citi, I never considered capital one bank cards either 😂😀. Maybe in the future.

Nice video, I agree with your points. I would add two more suggestions for capital one:

#1. Renew the Hotels. com 10x feature. That is the best feature of their cards especially given that it also works with the eraser function.

#2. Capitalize on their new walmart. com card by enabling easy transfer of points from the Walmart card to Venture as well. This would enable a 3 card setup that includes the Walmart card as follows: Venture card, 2x on all spend, Savor card 4x on dining and entertainment, Venture 10x on hotels, Walmart 5x on groceries online pickup plus online shopping… And then if you could pool all of these and use transfer partners at 1:1 ratio, that could be a pretty strong combo for everyday spend for people who buy groceries at Walmart… You would have solid earn potential in Dining, Groceries, Entertainment, Online Shopping, Hotels, and Miscellaneous spend…

Do you know by chance how strict Cap1 is with inquiries. I've read on TPG that they are more strict but haven't seen a specific threshold. I ask because I was denied for their Spark Business Miles for too many inquiries in last 12 months, along with avg acct too short, "too high" of revolving credit (I always pay it off and at the time it was nothing higher than usual in absolute dollars- maybe $2000), etc.

Of course they send me a survey afterwards and I told them i was annoyed that i was denied for this card (twice actually, one a year ago) while I've been approved for every other card in the last 2 years. They asked…😈

No domestic transfer partners is a huge problem.

I have the Capital One Venture card as my "we dont take American Express here" card. If used the Purchase Eraser on several trips, but haven't used the transfer partners because of your given reasons. My wife and I are going to Paris in February and I wanted some new clothes, so I cashed out the rest of my points for Old Navy gift cards at a 1:1 ratio. Sadly a better redemption than their transfer partners now.

Hi Dustin! They need a 5X rotation or 2x unlimited card lol. I think Citi should reintroduce the citi dividend card lol

Capital One's most underrated feature is no FX fees on any of their cards. I like having the Savor 1 as a back up for international travel

I closed my Capital One Venture One card because I couldn’t make use of it. I lost almost 8 years of credit history. I know it stays on the credit report for 10 years.

I would love to see purchase eraser at a better rate. 1.25 or 1.5. That would be the game changer. Eraser is better than a portal if the rate is competitive.

New to this game. After 50 hours of research. I finally found a flight with my venture miles to Rome from the us for 2 ppl at 46,000 mi round trip/premium economy and 400$ cash. That put my cpp at around 3- 3.5. Not to shabby for my first points usage. I like the game and it interests me. Just wish I was active duty with no annual fees. I would be traveling like a king within a year lol. Thanks for all your help Dustin. I’m enjoying learning from your videos and iv finally turned a corner.
Here’s to 2020… Happy New Year!!

Capital One should make a big splash with all of the competition out there. A premium card with a massive sign up bonus similar to the CSR in 2016 is what they need. Tie the new card in with their checking and savings accounts (which have no minimum balance and no monthly fee) by offering APR boost and they'd have a really good product out there.
