Great to see more options available to students, esp. with good rewards! 🎓💯

As a student … I got qualified for the Amex Platinum. However, my Capital One Platinum wouldn’t give me a $500 increase on top of my $1,500 credit limit. LOL Okay Capital One. Ill stick with my 4 Amex cards.
Good for newer students but not for me. 🙂

I would love to see them have a 5 percent rotating categories card like chase and discover

I got the journey card when I was in school after getting the discover it student card. The journey gives you much bigger credit limit compared to discover both I liked the benefits of discover better. Great video!

I came to the US in January 2021 and applied for Capital One Quicksilver in January. At that time, there was no student category. They approved my application without the sign up bonus :3

The Capital One student cards are great for when students study abroad. They can just use the same card they would use in the U.S. and avoid foreign transaction fees. And they can still earn rewards on their purchases abroad.

LOL, I love how he starts the video by saying that students cannot be excepted for the Chase Sapphire preferred. Just before I turned 19, I was approved for this card. Students can be excepted for good cards if they have some good credit history. Also, I am preapproved for the American Express platinum.

Good timing!
I'll be applying for my first card in the next couple weeks. I am a student but my score is probably high enough to get a 'normal' card with some better bonuses, is there any advantage to student cards beyond that they can be qualified for more easily?

Still waiting for citi double cash to roll out a sign up bonus or I'll have to go with wells fargo

Capital One probably enjoys being off Amex, Chase, and Citi's competitive radar, while they grab the more profitable slices of the pie.

I am a Junior in University, and I have the Discover it, Apple Card, Chase Freedom Flex, and Chase Sapphire Preferred. I have a total credit limit of $25k with over 100k chase points, it is possible for students to get all these cards. I did it in less than 2 years, you just need to have a job and a plan. I also have a TikTok @biznessflyn will be putting out more content there 🙂 Thanks Shifu for the videos and knowledge! Wouldn't have done it without you guys

Capital One does not help students. I tried 3 times and they didn't help when I was first starting out in college.

Very good student cards, but Cap One is very inquiry sensitive like Citi and US Bank, and also allows applications once every 6 months even of declined which is just too strict! I even have my primary checking account with them, so this is just annoying

what is the credit card with the biggest spending limit that would be easiest to get accepted for a 19 year old with discover it, and apple card already?? anyone suggestions please 😇

Discover is a very customer oriented company. Plus Discover has the twenty dollars if you get good grades.
Also Bank of America now have the Unlimited Cash Rewards Secured which baseline has a percent and half and more in the preferred rewards if you have the resources.

Savor is a surprisingly great card for students. 3x on those categories is pretty 🔥

Two things.

1. There is absolutely no point in the Journey anymore. The Quicksilver offers 1.5% back instead of 1.25% back. Zero reason to get the Journey card anymore.

2. Looks like Capital One is trying to reach more customers early on and hopefully keep them as customers for years to come. I kind of like Capital One's business model.
