I personally have found multiple Delta One booking for 50k out of Dallas and Chicago.
Thank you for your thorough explanations, especially using the 2.0 cpp instead of 10 cpp. I wouldn't have searched for this card this month and will now seriously consider it.
Oh my! very very interested
Sebby, IPHONE 11 thoughts , I know I know it’s unrelated to this video BUT.
Which card should I use to buy the new iPhone Amex or citi or chase. ?
And does it work if you pay your monthly bill with either of those cards ? ( to get the extended warranty)
What the heck would we do without you Sebby, you have changed my life….
How do you feel about the Fuze or curve card(s) to store all of your cards in a single one?
Ha.. Giving away all the secrets man. More competition for award space.
I've done ANA in J and F many times. Here's my 2c:
Honestly, unless you're an XL person, J on ANA is pretty amazing. The 20-25k difference in VS miles between J and F might not seem like much when comparing to the cash price, but J is so good that I don't think it is a no brainer to go for F. Also, booking J by transferring directly to ANA from Amex, it is cheaper than the VS rates. (85k RT JFK-TYO, or 100k JFK to pretty much anywhere else in Asia, during off peak. If you have the time, and can find the connections, 15k is a bargain for 2x J segments, even if you end up in the terrible clamshells). I don't ever redeem for F on ANA anymore unless there is no award availability in J. A few of the soft things that set F apart from J: after you've fallen asleep, they flip your slippers around so that they are facing you when you get up, they remake your bed every time you go to the lavatory, they go into the lavatory right after you take a dump to tidy it up, you can order anything on the menu at any time, and you get access to Suite check in at NRT.
Whether those things and the difference in hard product is worth it is personal, but it is a bit much for me. I actually feel more comfortable in J with less attention and someone isn't watching my every move. I take J when both are available(almost never). When paying cash, I think the J product is priced pretty competitively during their promos, but I wouldn't pay a dime more for F. If they keep rates the same with the new hard product, the value proposition for J redemptions increases further.
Finding award space with direct redemptions on ANA is tough as it is. With VS its 10x harder. Research thoroughly before going the VS route. It will test the patience of the most seasoned travel hackers among us.
Of course Bank of America is misleading, that’s why I never do business with them
Thanks!! Virgin is offering 120k return from US East Coast to Accra, Ghana on Delta ONE! Definitely eyeing this card.
This is quite different in comparison to the UK 🇬🇧 version of this card. In the UK your flight upgrades is dependent on your airline status. E.g. you can upgrade as a solo traveler and
with the paid card is the 241 is only valid in economy.
It’ll be good to see a comparison video with the 🇺🇸 & 🇬🇧 version.
I need business class from Haneda to Bangkok in May. So can I do a one way flight through Virgin Atlantic on ANA or will it not work because ANA wants it to be round trip. Just wondering if only through them.
Thanks for being honest
Also, keep in mind that those ANA business and first class products are only from NY to TYO (this is a new product). ANA from anywhere else isn't as new as what was seen in the video.
65% RoS, with a conservative valuation? Hell yeah!
Love the background music!!!
Thank you for being realistic and capping the value at 2 CPP. I feel like a lot of bloggers hype up points value in misleading ways in an effort to get affiliate link clicks.
hi sebby i have a question, on my chase unlimited card there is a 10% cash back offer for the next 8 days at a staples. my question is if use the card to purchase gift cards from staples for lets say amazon or whole foods would chase be able to see i did this? also would i still get back the 10% cash??? thank you in advance ik ur busy but it would be really nice to get some info on this.
I just have the Virgin travel card with no currency exchange fees, but this card seems really good. I go to Japan almost every year
I absolutely love these types of videos! Please keep making more 🙂
Hi Sebby, I have a question, what will happen if you close your charge card? like Amex gold/platinum?
citi double cash is eliminating benefits this month…….no warranty….etc
hi Sebby, i would like see a video of how many credit cards do you have, and why you keep it, what benefits gets from they. if i can guess will be like twenty, it's that number right? bye.
Just booked a return economy flight from Syracuse to Paris for 46k SkyMiles next May. The cost would’ve been about $1650. Thanks for teaching us how to travel for cheap or free!
Prob need BoA relationship for this, got rejected. Lol
So is this something that is only achieved with intros? Doing the math it seems high spend is needed to achieve those points for business and first class. The idea is to use intros and then close cards? Seems like an exploit?
Both Virgin Atlantic and British Airways miles are worthless for flying to/from UK. only way you're supposed to use them is on other's metal and not to the UK
Thank you for this video.
I got the card last month. After I’ve reached the 2k threshold, I called BoA regarding when I will see the 60k points on my account. The customer service representative told me it is 10k points for first 2k spent and another 20k for another 2k spent and finally 30k after another 2k spent. And then they told me to check with Virgin Atlantic for the offer. I got transferred to VA and I got a different offer… that i need to spend 15k to get the points?
I need some advice, I can’t figure out whether to go with delta or virgin Atlantic in regarding points and memberships. They both seem pretty much the same? Any help?
Finding availability on ANA business class or Delta One suites has been impossible. Can you do a follow up video on how to search for these seats
do you have a referral for this card?
Virgin Air Miles credit card is awful. For Summer 2021 to get me, the Wife and two kids from London to Orlando has cost me £2200, including baggage (economy), so £550 each. For 2022 I was thinking of using my Virgin air miles, which I need 45,000 miles per person. I think I will have around 90,000 miles by Spring 2022 so 2 free flights you might think, but no. Just looked, and firstly I cannot fly out at the weekend, and secondly each return "free" flight is 45,000 air miles ……. and £265. The word free obviously has a different meaning in my world to Richard Branson's. The flight is £285 cheaper than with no points at all. I've tried quite hard to build my points to get to the air miles I have so to get to the end and things aren't what they seem is disappointing. Should of known it was too good to be true when Richard Branson is involved!!!!
