RIP Adelson. I worked at the Venetian, opened it up in 1999. Only came face to face with him in the back of the house elevators. Gave his employees great benefits. Never really seemed to smile tho. Good times.

Maybe Hard Rock could purchase the old Fountainbleu/Drew building. I'd like SOME ONE to get on it and FINISH the f*#%ing thing.

The NBA's dive into hard left-wing politics has really turned off alot of people and I would not go even with free tickets. People watch sports and entertainment to escape the problems of the world and in their lives and they just want to have a good time for a few hours and be entertained. I see the value of the NBA shrinking big time and Vegas would be a massive loser in trying to support this. The NBA All-Star game years back that Vegas had is a prime example of why you would avoid the NBA and the crowd it attracts.

I hope the new Rio management can overcome the age, location and size of the property. A place like that needs consistent refreshing to attract Vegas visitors. I'm not confident it will make financial sense to keep it as a gaming property. I want to be wrong

Don't know how the numbers will pencil out for the owners of a new NBA franchise, but Vegas will be the definite winner if a new team comes there. A lot of people just need any new excuse for a trip to Vegas… I can see out of town NBA fans saving their local ticket purchases for a trip or two per season to Las Vegas. Plus it keeps Vegas expanding as the entertainment capitol of the world

Thank you. Adelson was a true visionary. I hope the company's new leadership can follow in his footsteps. I worked in the Yamaha booth (guitars – keyboards) back in the early-mid 90's at CES – great memories.

$2.5, Vegas yes, Sea., not a chance. Bring it baby, do not use T Mobile… Build an arena on the north end near the Strat.

I read that the Boring company in their future planned expansion would have a stop at the Rio/Palms. That would help in the access to Strip access. Maybe they will reinstate the shuttle with the new owners /management. God knows they won't do worse than CET. I keep harking back to the days before CET when the Rio was an such an original property.

Unlike you 2 Adelson had political convictions that were considered very important
For its contributions to entire societies, he made something out of his life to benefit hundreds of thousands that he employed, just look at you two, failures in life that live in one bedroom apartments and only have the IQ to make stupid videos and survive from the few cents you tube sends your way.
And you dare to even express an opinion?, what exactly qualifies you to?.
Really low class podcast or whatever you call what you are pretending to do.
Did I keep it civil?,.

As far as basketball, either the N.O. Pelicans, or the Minnesota Timberwolves. I got intel the T'Wolves are folding. I think it'll be for the 2023-24 NBA season if this happens.

Something to remember regarding a potential NBA franchise.

For $500 million, you got a very good NHL team that went to the Stanley Cup finals their first year.

The last time the NBA expanded, teams protected 8 players. Not many teams go 8 deep with their roster. So for 5x the expansion fee, what are you getting? The bottom of the bench? How many teams from the last round of NBA expansion are doing well? What has their track record been over their history?

NBA expansion feels like the owners trying to cover losses while selling people a garbage team. Classic bait and switch scam.

I just stayed @ Rio 1-14-21 I didn’t think it was bad. They could use some more time with re-opening and some more patronage. The views of the strip from my suite were fantastic. Will be great when they open the Masquerade tower.
