Let's go!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Credit card content recently. Shifu means business
We’re in the age of needing spreadsheets to keep track of credit card benefits 😆
Much needed video, thanks Ben!
I upgraded to the CSR back in October 2021. The travel credit and lounge access was used right away. Used the Global Entry credit. I had used the old Door Dash credit and my Lyft Pink was extended to October of 2022. Getting free Citibike rides is a plus. I have gotten a lot of value and having the Chase Trifecta with the GoPuff credits has been a bonus. If some of these credits go into 2023, it's a keeper.
Hi Ben, is the $5 Doordash credit available for the CSP too?
I have too many cards. That's why I'm out of the game.
Is the travel credit still applicable to gas stations? Or has that promotion ended?
Hey guys, probably should have included the $100 Global entry credit, however the reason I didn't it because this is only once every 4 years. You could factor it in as $25 per year or $100 first year when doing the math.
I just added my CSR to doordash after watching this video. So ill b getting the $5 credit for technically a year and a half?
Great video!! Would love this on other popular cards
Great video Ben! 🔥🚀
I love Chase but it'll be hard to compete with the ultimate coupon book… the Amex Platinum haha. I hope that they make the Reserve slightly more appealing because right now, the Platinum is a bit more attractive with all of the different credits they offer + the welcome bonus.
Love my CSR!!
How disappointing… so little info about the true value of the CSR. Go puff & Dash pass ain't it.
Don't feel bad Ben, I don't have any Gopuff either😟
I had signed up for the doordash membership back in August of last year using the CSP. I went into the doordash app last week and shows that it expires on December 31, 2024. Do I still need to cancel it before it charges my card or is it really good until the end of that year?
$250 effective annual fee for me if I were to upgrade from CSP lol. I don't use puff pass, door dash or whatever they are called. Or pelaton. No need for me to waste time at an airport lounge. So CSR wouldn't be for me. Probably same reason Amex Platinum would be of little value to me. None of their coupons even sound like something I would ever use. I use CSP for transferring points for extra value and booking hotels and flights.
Capital One credits are much better. Chase is trying to be like Amex. I hope this goes away.
Hint: BOA-Flying Blue 75000….
Annual fee is not the problem, having credits that are difficult to use is also not the problem. The real problem of the Amex platinum, is that it's not structured to encourage spending. What makes Amex platinum a coupon book card is the fact it has terrible, non-competitive reward multipliers. Amex needs to revamp platinum cards multiplier categories, and we will be glad to put more spend on it. People in the credit card community wrongfully put too much emphasis on the "credits", and not enough attention on the real problem of the card which is multipliers.
DOORDASH CREDIT!!!! Just fyi….not sure if there was a glitch in the system or not, but I just used my Reserve today for a DoorDash pick-up order and my $5 credit had rolled over for 3 months. It credited my order for $15.
QUESTION ❓ Can you do a follow up video about the Chase Business Premier credit card?
Does the $300 credit also work for travel purchased from the Chase portal ?
the CSR is great, but i prefer the CSP for the lower annual fee. great overview Ben!
Go Puff is really not a viable credit. Between fees and tips, the $10 credit is negated. You can get the subscription but that requires multiple cards to reach a break even so for the CSR it still isn’t a value add. It is YMMV but I genuinely do not see value in it. I have the benefit on 3 of my chase cards and tried out the premium subscription. $30 in credits netted just over $4
