For the Doordash credit…I also think the fact that it's doordash, is meaningless…however, it can also be looked at as $60 of free restaurant food. (ok…not quite $60 because they inflate the cost, but you know what I mean).

So, you'll be transferring the 96K points from your account to your wife's? To do that, I believe you have to have an authorized user card. Of course, this doesn't have to be the CSR…it can be a CF or CFU authorized user. Combining points is something I like about Chase…which I don't believe Amex allows. Does Citi?

Sorry, you missed the 100K back in 2016, but remember, that primary car rental insurance is unmatched from other banks CCs.

I have been following you for a few weeks now and you did go hard on the UR redemption portal, but once that 5x groceries and Pay Yourself Back feature came through I JUST KNEW YOU'D COME AROUND! lol. The CSR is my favorite card because it is a beast. 10x for Lyft is awesome! Trust me, when paired with the Freedom and Chase Ink Cash this combo nets me an easy 100k point easily AFTER year 1. Smart to have the, ahem, wife get one. lol

There’s nothing wrong with obtaining the card to reap a financial benefit. Good job!

jinx! i just upgraded to mine and got it yesterday. I had the csp for a year and even with not being able to travel, i know i'll be able to again like i did before. the grocery credit is just gravy now. I'm a little sad that they no longer send them out with that pretty box!??!

This is what I like about this channel. You don't sugar coat it. You said I did it because this would be beneficial to you and not everyone else.

Does the travel credit for grocery stores & gas apply only to newer card holders or does this apply to all card holders with CSR? I can’t get through to customer service at Chase so figured I’d ask on here. Thx.

Wonder if Chase will adjust the rules if many heavy hitters decide to start cashing out their 1 million+ point balances.

Don't wait to book travel, the amount of people who have Covid now is gonna the same or lower than it will be in a year from now

Wondering why you wouldn't have just done the Sapphire Preferred instead. Then, after the welcome bonus you'd have 160000 points instead of 150,000 and at 1.25 (instead of 1.5) you'd have $2000 instead of $2250, but only a $95 fee instead of $550… Seems you'd save about $200 with the Preferred, to do the same thing… Or am I missing something?

Thinking about switching from Discover It to Chase Sapphire Reserve. Active duty military is currently able to get the annual fee waived. To my question: would this be a reasonable switch?

If you say the UR system isn’t top notch, what is? Amex’s travel portal is garbage, so is Citi’s. With the changes to the Freedom Unlimited and Freedom Flex, the CSR is a no brainier cause of the 50% travel redemption bonus.
