Shifu….. recently you made a video showing you had gotten the IHG premier Card… are you using that very much after reaching your minimum spend ?

If I go from CSP then after a year upgrade to CSR will I get the sign bonus on CSR, both cards essentially?

Don’t forget the travel insurance!! CSR has the best set of protections by a mile. Amex is catching up but they’re not on the same level as Chase.

Trip cancellation insurance bro. The chase freedom has better trip cancellation insurance than most amex cards

It's free for me, because I'm active duty. However, I'm still going to keep it when I get out the military. I travel a lot, so $150 for unlimited lounge access? Yea, I'm keeping it.

Hi Credit Shifu, thanks for another great look at the CSR. I'm really interested in getting this card for the travel and dining that I do. Only thing holding me back is that I spend about $1200/mo on catering and I don't think that counts as Dining to the CSR. Do you have any recommendations as a secondary card to get for maximizing rewards in the Catering category?

I wish that Chase would offer an upgrade bonus to upgrade from Sapphire Preferred to Sapphire Reserve. Even 20,000 points would be great for $1,000 or $2,000 of spend in 3 months.

Other benefits that appeal …rental car, trip cancellation, and emergency medical…

This is why I’m still keeping this card since 2016 even with $450 annual fee

Amex Gold 4x dining can be hit/miss. Bars and restaurants located in hotels could only earn 1x. CSR 3x dining is a lot more broad.

The video topics are interesting, but I think I often disagree with Shifu’s math. Little things get missed or overlooked.

For a guy who travels with his family which includes very young kids, you would have thought travel insurance provided by chase would be very important. Amex is catching up but chase travel insurance is much broader.

I’m new to the card game so I only got the csp last october, should i just go around other travel cards until the cooldown period for the signup bonus goes away or is it worth it to upgrade to csr? I travel once a year to the ph with at least one asian country side trip

it's funny how after you made this video, chase announced AF will be increased to $550

Waller’s Wallet just slightly killed the CSR for me with the speculated $550 AF. I’ll still keep it though…

I'm hearing the price is about to increase on this. Do you think I should apply now and get it or wait as they may have a good welcome bonus.

With the news of the increased AF to 550, I'm curious as to your thoughts now if you'd cancel before October when your next AF hits. My AF is in April, so if I do plan on product changing, when would be the best time to change? I'm assuming I wouldn't be able to get the travel credit until after I paid the AF.

I'll keep it since they waive the annual fee for military.
