Episode Description

The LVCVA has released visitor statistics for 2021 and some of the data is pretty shocking. We go over the most interesting numbers that spell doom for the monorail and show why the casinos are winning so much money lately. But it’s hard to explain why so many people are bringing their children to Las #Vegas!

In other #news we learned about how and when you can score the high demand Formula 1 tickets. This is one you want to try for. We also discuss Katy Perry’s robot eye, the insane $150K suite package at #Palms, the destruction of some of the Grand Bazaar shops and the arrival of the original Cronut in Las Vegas.

Excellent vid !
❤️Vegas & ❤️F1 but will be watching the Race at home ! Can’t see much sitting in the stands with cars racing by. The prices in Vegas will be double or triple on everything. Casinos are busy developing special fees for F1

Only place I’ve ever shopped right there in front of a
Ballys is when I was grabbing some tacos on a drunken walk back from balliys to the Bellagio. They were pretty good tacos though. However that could have been all the booze that made them that good😂

KP just announced more 2023 shows beginning in February, I think. As for the Grand Bizarre Shops… I think I had a slice of pizza from one of the grab n go places last year with some nachos. Price point wasn’t too bad for what I ordered, but the quality was meh (as expected).

Why would you need a ticket for F1?? Get a room and watch it from there or standing on the strip

Maybe the higher number of people under 21 yrs old had to do with some countries still having restrictions on travel, especially minors. Easier to travel domestically, and Vegas has some great activities for kids.

Mark you missed it. $150,000 suite makes your money disappear than Cris Angel.

Vegas is still a super cheap vacation!! Prices are rising in every city due to inflation. You can still easily get hotel rooms here for under $100 per night. Often under $60. Want to take your family to Disneyland? (I went last month.) The cheapest Disneyland resort rate is $400 per night! A crappy dive motel room in Anaheim costs $100. Then pay at least $100 per person to get into the parks each day. You can bring a family of 4 to Vegas for a lot less than most other tourist destinations.

I doubt Moulon Rouge could make it at its original location. Not in a great location and not easy for your average tourist to get to.

I wish they would expand on the monorail and have it go to the airport

A lot of interesting stats . Really enjoy your Vlog . I am a Vegas lover and Wynn Encore sycophant 😂 . One suggestion is Mark really should turn the camera so we don’t know he’s in his bedroom to give it a more professional look

Thanks guys. Good stuff. Survey results are sad. What hotels doing with $$$$ grab. Pathetic. The big race $500 seats and more. Normal for LV. But can’t you just stand some where and watch? Keep up ye good work, please

Love the monorail. Wasn’t it closed for two years? Or close to it? Of course rider ship is down.

Comp rooms are based on your churn and your continuity – if you earn comp rooms, use them and keep up your level of play, you keep getting comp room offers. When the pandemic shut down everything, one had no ability to earn comps.
Once the pandemic ended, we got lots of we-want-you-back offers, more than we could use.

The Wife and I are sick of kids in the casino's (on the strip is ok I guess). Downtown is definitely not a place for kids. Vegas is just too expensive/worthless comps. We aren't even trying to keep our Diamond status anymore. We are going to look for somewhere else to gamble, the only thing we are going to miss is the chris angle show 😞😞

If one is curious as to how much the Tourist Bureau knows about Vegas visitors, it's worth diving into those Convention Authority Reports. The answer is that they know a LOT about all of us. They look at three categories – drive-in visitors from California or Arizona, American tourists arriving by plane or foreign tourists. They know who is on business and who is here for fun, how much you spend on rooms, food, drinks, cars, cabs and shows. They know your gaming budget and how fast you play. It's like Google – it's really quite astounding – and kinda scary – how much information they know.
