If the government takes control, every elected official will MYSTERIOUSLY get a perfect credit score.

I can’t stand that every company will always have a different credit score. Even if they all pull the same report the scores are always different.

i mostly agree with you. but "slippery slope" arguments are mostly weak sauce. we dont need to fear slippery slops stuff is bad now! 12 states still allow marital rape in some cases. i know this is about that, but my point is we dont need to guess about what might happen we can look at what *IS*.

I also disagree with the argument that government run = bad. most tap water is government run and where the voters demand it water in america tends to be safe and drinkable. but thats not always the case. see flint.; efforts by some government officials to sabotage the post office not withstanding, the post office in america is very popular and works extremely well. with a little investment it could easily become the best in the world. likewise most stores in america are privately run and you can expect a generally not dangerous or poor experience with no haggling, price inflation at the counter and other things that are common in other parts of the world.

My point is that private industry does some things better and public government does somethings.

In this case i dont know, i can see there being a need for competition as there is no incentive right now for private credit reporting agencies to respect consumers or their date as we are not the customer (notice there was no massive hack of the credit reporting agencies releasing the info of those paying for our reports). however I can see how this might be too much info for the feds to have. my concern is how will consumer data be protected and what can be done to protect our data and privacy from the feds and hackers.

Thanks for reading these and I smashed the like button 👍. If I am hiring an in house book keeper or accountant, I will get their credit report. Stupid to prevent that, because I won’t hire anyone for those positions if I can’t see that report. I think it’s pretty clear you’ve never had to hire an accountant or bookkeeper before if you support this.

There it is, it's here! This is going to be a social credit score, in which people can tattle on each other to get their scores higher and other measures. I'm almost sure this is going to turn into just that. I heard of this ten years ago. Not Good!

FiCO has no business in the employment, or/and car insurance business. Don’t agree with you with private companies running everything. Most hospitals are private. Look much they rip off the American consumers, and the people they’re supposed to care for. Don’t get me started on the pharmaceuticals

“I’d rather have my personal information in the hands of greedy capitalists than authoritarian socialists” sounds like a bit of a false dilemma fallacy. “Greedy capitalists” haven’t exactly done a great job with our personal information either. Perhaps there is room for an alternative solution that is neither profit-driven nor authoritarian

When you're employer does a background check on you and one they check you're credit score is one of the signs of discipline along with the other things they check about you

I don’t think the idea of a government ran credit score is too bad. Certainly not “socialist dictator” or whatever, I think that’s a little dramatic. Public option/ services are a great way to keep the private sector in check by offering true competition rather than 3 private companies “competing”, that’s more of an oligarchy.

Awesome video, I agree with everything you said on her, I do agree having a government run credit agency is a horrible idea. The less government we have in our lives, the better we are off.
