I went from no credit to 727 credit score in less than 2 years. I started with Capital one secured card. 2nd I got the Amex delta skymiles (I wanted to start profiting on my spend and I wanted to boost my score ASAP. Next Capital One Savor, my dining card. 4th was freedom unlimited. After two 3k minimum spend cards I needed a break. Then came my 5th card Marriot Bonvoy. I knew I’d need help here so I got my mom an authorized user card. I’m still working on the 5k spend, I’m predicting that I should make it within 2.5/3 months. Every card I have has a downgrade path… that is a rule you taught me. I’ve been having a fun time chasing these sign up bonuses! Thank you for your informative and entertaining content ❤️🙏🏽
Started with BOA / Discover. Didn’t know about the 5/24 at the time so I’m working completing my trifecta and then I’m locked out for 2 years. And I want to product change my CSP to CSR !
First 5 were Amex Gold 🤦🏻♂️, CSP, CF, CIP, CIC
I love this video so much but wish I had seen it 3months ago before I got so many unnecessary hard pulls from Chase and Welsfargo. Got denied for not having enough credit history even though my FICO was 739 at the time. Currently gardening and fighting the impulse to get all these SUBs 😭
So if I get the ihg premier get the sign up bonus can I down grade and get the signup bonus from there or should I start from the no annual fee one then the annual fee one .
Does a product change require a hard pull for Chase? How about AMEX?
So say I start off focused on earning and burning UR cards as much as I can before reaching 5/24 – what’s the benefit of starting to actually churn other cards that award something other than UR after setting up a “trifecta”? Does spending on those Chase cards become more or less pointless (no pun)? Is the main concept that you can still transfer to airline/hotel partners for better CPP? Just trying to get a high level understanding here.
The one thing that makes me wonder about my next card is whether the United card is worth it even though I don't live in a United Hub, but I may start travelling outside the US in the next few years.
I'd like to see a video about the credit cards offered by usaa and navy federal and how they compare to the non military credit cards.
Edit: I just read that since I'm military, chase will waive all fees on their credit cards. Should I just jump on their biggest reward card since I don't have to pay for it?
Hi Sebby, do you recommend someone get the Chase Sapphire preferred or Chase freedom first? The only chase card I have is the Marriott boundless. I will be under 5/24 for the next 3 cards I get in the next year. Is there a path that you would recommend?
I already got
Discover it
Amex gold
Amex delta platinum
I am looking forward to chase freedom and CSP
I love how he says bonus…"bjurnis"
Bank of America Cash Rewards card was my first, then I got the Apple Card, then the Citi Double Cash, then Amex Blue Cash Everyday, and just recently the Best Buy card. Locked out of the 5/24 for a couple more months, My last four cards I've gotten in the past year, but my first card is just a couple months away from being out of that rule. As you might be able to tell from my first five cards, I've been all about cash back, but as time goes on and I'm watching more and more videos from Sebby and Credit Shifu, I'm becoming more and more interested in rewards points cards, and eventually I think one of the trifectas would be a good fit for me, though I've got a long way to go before I'll be ready and able to take advantage of the points that I earn, though to my understanding, they won't expire, and I'll be good to go for a while whenever I need a flight or something
How about chase amazon card?
Or. Only get one credit card (for just in case purposes) and don’t buy anything if you can’t afford it right off the bat! Omg now you don’t have debt to pay off yayyyy
I am glad that I found your channel and ones similar to this. I was on the DR plan paying off my credit cards, but something kept telling me that there is a better way to use them. I was never going to close them out (for emergency purposes) but I wasn't planning on opening any additional cards. I started with Discover IT while I was in college. I also financed some things through Apple so I have a synchrony and Barclays card, and I got lasik last year so I have a Care Credit card as well. I don't use these 3 cards so I really only have 1 cc (even though I have 4). I just applied for the CFU to start the points game and I think I'm interested in moving to an Amex card next or the CSP. I'm still trying to pay off my Discover IT so once that balance is zero I'll consider my next card. There's no point in opening a lot of cards if I'm just going to max them out. Sorry this is such a long post, but I appreciate the knowledge I've obtained from your channel!
I’m rocking the Chase Trifecta now … and then just added the Double Cash with Citi.
Now with the CSP if I product change mines in year two can I get the sign up bonus for the CSR ?
What do you recommend with someone who lives in japan and like would like to travel a few times a year to places in and around japan as well as going back to the United States. I already have the chase freedom unlimited which I’ve had for about a year now. Would you recommend the preferred reserve or something else??
Thanks for you time and love you channel by the way it’s helped me a great deal.
I want to get into chase. I applied for the chase unlimited and got declined, I got capital one, and got chase freedom as a authorized user, how do I get into it by my self?
Hi!How are u sebby?Do i have tk wait to apply for the chase freedome if i already have the CSP?I’m trying to get the trifecta going.
I currently have the Hilton’s honors surpass card , capital one venture, chase business preferred ink, and considering the citi prestige and the jet blue to round out my first five. The ink started out with $6,000 limit and less then 3 months they game me a $3,000 increase. I like the jet blue cause I can roll my points from capital one into JetBlue.
What's this 5/24 people are referring to?
lol how does one get banned from chase
love the breakdown bro, extremely helpful
I applied for the capital one platinum card and the freedom card on the same day, had to provide income verification on the chase though, as my first two cards
Will Chase turn you down if you’re “overqualified” for a card? I just got rejected for the Freedom Flex and I wasn’t at 5/24. Also, FICO is 730-ish and household income is around $190k. Maybe they were trying to push me towards one of their other cards?
The way he looks intently into the camera is what keeps the audience engaged.
Only have four cards so far in this order
1. BofA cash rewards secured $500 8 months
2. Petal 2 $1250 2 months
3. Discover it cashback $1500 2 months
4. Capital one secured $500($349 deposit) 0 months
I'm disappointed you didn't mention that the World of Hyatt points can't be transferred into the CSP/CSR for maximizing ultimate rewards through partner transfer credits
Just wondering how do you get bam from Chase
I’m a student and I got approved for CSP just over a year after I got started with Discover IT. I opened a bank account with Chase and enabled direct deposit for my internship. I was preapproved for CSP and the two freedom cards and was instantly approved when I applied.
Right now I have three credit cards: Capital One Platinum(that I’m currently in the process of upgrading to a Capital One QuickSilver card), Discover It card , and the Chase Freedom Flex card. Which card should I get next?
I didn't realize how fun using credit cards for point is, I'm addicted, thank you sebby
My first card was from Wells Fargo. I don't remember applying for it, but I was repeatedly rejected by other banks before that. 1% cash back and no annual fee seems fine for a starter card.
I’m already using the chase freedom, the trick I’m using is that i apply for one then I referred my wife to it then we plan to get csr and after i get the points i can refer her again and use the points all together
