The Las #Vegas #Strip continues to chug along and one of its most historic properties is open for business! #Flamingo Las Vegas opened in 1946 and has seen numerous changes over the years. Today we’ll explore their newest #renovated #Flamingo #rooms which are very impressive. I stayed at Flamingo last week and filmed all around the property to show you what it’s like. Perhaps the place is a bit hectic for me, but you can’t argue with its #location nor can you fault Flamingo for being right next to the famous #Linq Promenade.
Overall the casino is fairly modern and Flamingo Las Vegas has some nice touches like the #Habitat area with #flamingos and other #wildlife plus a #pool area that is one of the better ones at an older hotel. You’ll see it all in our Flamingo hotel review and casino tour! From Bugsy’s Bar to Margaritaville and everywhere in between we’ll show you what Flamingo is like right now with some history along the way.
🎧 Check out our new MtM Vegas podcast. Our first episode is now available and it is a full detailed look at our Resorts World Las Vegas thoughts. We stayed in the hotel, played in the casino and we have a lot to say!

Such a colorless boring bedroom. Well, for $20 one cannot expect anything better.
I have not been here for at least 6 years and I still have good memories
Hello! I loved your presentation and complete visual of the Flamingo. Very positive and it drew me to it. I'm in the planning stages of taking my daughter for her 21st birthday in June, and I can't wait for us to be mesmerized. It's very beautiful. Thank you!
Great video! Very informative and it makes me want to stay there! I'm looking into getting out of the Midwest for a midweek thaw. I've only been to Vegas one other time. Can you recommend a way to get the super cheap rate w/o resort fees? Also, how does one get upgraded to the new rooms with strip view? Sorry for all the questions. Im pretty much an amateur when it comes to Vegas. Lol!
Thanks!
Love the Flamingo!
That was great! I had no idea prior to this video how one goes about bonding piggies. Very informative, as well as interesting to watch. Thank you, Saskia!
Very good video mate! Thanks for that.
Hated it dirty place.
The 80's was the era when we took family trips to Vegas. Stayed at the Flamingo Hilton every time. When parents wanted to do their own thing I got put into the Las Vegas Hilton kid-care where I learned how to be a pool shark from the teen/young adult staff. Many, many memories. We also always had to spend an evening at Circus Circus, dad always won the carnival games.
Love that view!
I've been looking through hotel rate comparison sites like Staypia, and the Flamingo is by far the one with the most reasonable price in Las Vegas. Considering it's location or basic amenities, I'd say it's pretty much worth a stay.
I want an all pink room option, with tiny disco ball mirrors and lots of textured and brushed metal. These rooms are so painfully tasteful I can't stand it. I want something wild like the pink shag room in Fear and Loathing.
I love the Flamingo neon, I hope it lasts forever! I agree about the old school Vegas, I got to visit in 1980 with my dad. I wanted to see Redd Foxx at the Landmark but I was only 11 so we saw Ipi Tombi and it blew my mind!
You do an excellent job in these videos!! You don’t yell in the Video like the other guy!! You talk slowly & clearly & have a lot of facts at your disposal!! This is my first time listening to one of your videos & I will be subscribing. Do you have videos of closed Casinos & also Casinos that have never opened? Please let me know. Thank You. Keep up the great work!!
I love the Flamingo
Looks nice a great video review stay safe.👍👍👍
Shoutout to the time I blacked out and came to in the Flamingo, $400 poorer. Flamingo my beloved
First time in Vegas was back in the early 80's. Wow! I couldn't believe such a place was possible! I remember taking the moving sidewalk into Ceasars' and seeing it for the first time. I don't think I had seen anything that big. To this day I'm still amazed at it's size.
I was there about 11 years ago and it was in rough shape then but I love the History of it and the location it's great, Now it looks great I will stay there again soon, Thanks for the update on how it looks now.
Flamingo looks good without the Donnie and Marie wrap….room looks soooooo amazing and fresh! I’m annoyed I won’t get back until September 2021 (fingers crossed) cuz I’m missing out on these quieter times….so much nicer to absorb all the architecture, new places and old haunts!
I was surprised in the video that the nightstand between the beds, the lamp didn't appear to have USB charging for phones.
the older classic hotels usually treat you pretty good, offer free upgrades when available, as they have to compete with the newer shinier fancier hotels.
Never stayed at Flamingo so going to try it out in June.
FLAMINGO TRESPASSED A FRIEND IN 2019 FOR SIMPLY ASKING WHY HIS POINTS WERE NOT ADDED TO HIS CAESARS REWARDS ACCOUNT AFTER PLAYING CRAPS… THEY CLAIMED THEY CHECKED THE CAMERAS AND HE NEVER PLAYED EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A MANAGER THAT CLEARLY SAW HIM PLAY AND HAD ALREADY STATED TO MANAGEMENT MY FRIEND PLAYED…. THEY TRESPASSED HIM FROM ALL CAESARS PROPERTIES AND DID NOT GIVE HIM A DATE WHEN HE CAN EVER COME BACK… LATER HE RESEARCHED AND APPARENTLY THIS HAPPENS ALOT MORE THAN YOU THINK AND THEY CARE LESS ABOUT BEING FAIR… MY FRIEND HAD BEEN A LOYAL CAESARS REWARDS CUSTOMER FOR 20 YEARS WITHOUT HAVING ANY ISSUES IN THE PAST… HE ALSO HAD A MANAGER AT FLAMINGO TELL HIM HE DIDN T DO ANYTHING WRONG THEY JUST FELT THEY DID NOT WANT TO CONTINUE DOING BUSINESS WITH HIM
Are you the voice of the “Old School Slots” channel? Sure sounds like it! Great video!
Stayed in the Luxury Suite and would recommend if you like older style rooms.
I'd like to stay there,,,
I enjoy the hotel reviews, great work keep it up. What I would like to see in addition to the hotel info, more restaurant and casino info. Table minimums for the game including the day of the week, and the time of day. In other words, expand on the hotel room info and make it more property wide, since this is Las Vegas, gambling data would be great.
I get the GO room with the view every time I stay at the Flamingo.
I love the flamingo !!!!please stay cool retro, I miss the old Las vegas
Flamingo's newer room, introduced in this movie is clean and comfortable.
but old room is little damaged especially bathroom.
LOCATION, LOCATION AND ONE OF THE BEST VALUE RESORTS IN L.V BLVD, EVEN IF YOURE NOT GOING TO SPEND THE DAY IN THE TOP 5 RESORTS HAHA. STAYED IN 2000, 2015 AND WOULD'VE STAYED IN 2019 AGAIN BUT MY FATHER PREFERRED BALLY'S OVER FLAMINGO.
I worked there in the 90s when it was a Hilton property and O’Sheas was still there and also owned by Hilton
Zero magic Las Vegas the way it used to be , the rooms are all the same at every casino 🤮 but great video from you !
Not even a basket of bread 🍞
0:33 “…so much to do, so much to see” now I’ve got “All Star” by Smash Mouth stuck in my head. 🤣
Flamingo was like sleeping in a 7/11 bathroom
What’s this rom called ?
74 years old hotel
Thank you Miles
Came here from bugsy
it is just so unpleasant seeing everyone masked up Iike that
That Hotel Is So Beautiful
My other half and I just stayed at this shit hole for two nights from the 19th -21st to see RuPauls Drag Race. Our usual Hotel is Wynn/Encore properties but we decided to go with the idea of convenience 'it's only 2 nights, stay at the hotel where you'll be seeing the show'. Boy was this a huge mistake! The Casino is sooooo painfully dated even Flamingo's storied history can not save it from shit hole status (and don't get me started on the "renovated" rooms) that's laughable. And the casino and rooms are not even the worst of it. The worst of it is the clientele it attracts – I'm talking grungy wife beater wearing, holding his open 24 pack of bud light in the hotel check in line type clientele…real classy types. Stay far away from this place!
0:33 So what's wrong with taking the back streets
Love seeing this! WOW 😳😳 Flamingo Hotel has been in Our Family and Hearts forever 🤩 since 1953 and it's good to see the Changes! Lot of memories there! Since Daddy had 53 year's there! ❤️❤️👍👍
