Getting MULTIPLE Chase FREEDOM FLEX, Is It Possible? – Waller’s Wallet

by YouTube Team

When the Chase Freedom Flex was released, there was hope to be able to get multiple Chase Freedom Flex cards to earn great cash back, or even more Chase Ultimate Reward points. But, Chase made it clear you couldn’t do that. You could have a Chase Freedom Unlimited and Freedom Flex, or even Chase Freedom and Freedom Flex, but not both. So I decided to test this out and see if you could in fact only have 1 Chase Freedom Flex credit card.

I think it would be good for Costco to keep one original Visa Freedom for when Whole Sale (Costco) and gas stations (for Costco gas) are 5% categories.

Maybe it was misworded? Like they meant to say you that you cannot APPLY for more than 1 Flex but product changes are ok?

💥 U ROCK for being the data point man! THANK YOU 🏆 Great that we can have multiple Freedom Flex cards 💪 #DoubleFlexin’ 💳 If you were under 5/24, would you have applied for the Flex via new application, or would you have stayed w/ the product change and instead get a different card?

Am I the only one who considers the Freedom Unlimited a 2.25% cashback card when combined with the CSR? To me, that makes it a very good non-category spend card. 2.25% is better than any of the 2% cash back cards most people promote for this kind of spend.

What's the benefit of having 2x Flex vs Freedom + Flex? Or was that just a test? Curious if there're DPs for Sapphire -> Flex conversions.

I have always interpreted what Chase said about the Freedom Flex as you can't APPLY to get more than one Freedom Flex, but that product changing would be different, just like what they have done with the Freedom and the Freedom Unlimited. I hope this is what is going to hold true over time.

Great video, Dustin! Another data point: Converted my freedom to a freedom flex last week. Just converted my freedom unlimited to another freedom flex in a separate call with no issues. Looks like they’re just not enforcing it at the moment, might as well switch since 1.5x back isn’t too compelling.

DataPoint, just product change as well: Have both Chase Freedom & Chase Freedom Unlimited. Was able to product change my CF to CFF w/first customer rep, but he stated I can only have 1 Freedom Flex when asked for my CFU. Hung up and call again w/diff rep and was able to product change my CFU to CFF. My recommendation would get your product change with a new customer rep and product change when you can now before Chase really implements 1 Flex rule into their system. I now have two LoL.

Hooooo!!! Dustin, chase will have a word or two with you. You rubbed chase the wrong before, they might start canceling the extra Flex.

P.S. it worked for me as well 😃

Hi Waller Dustin! I just PC CSP to 2nd freedom so I am planning to PC to Freedom Flex however I think it is better for one to PC after getting Flex card SUB first. What do you think is the best strategy

Thanks you so much for being a data point. I'm currently at 5/24 so I can't apply for the Freedom Flex. I was wondering if I convert my Unlimited to the Flex than next year when I'm under 5/24 can I apply to another Flex (assuming that they allowed me to have 2 Freedom Flex) and get the welcome bonus? Thanks!
Clarification: I'm mainly curious to see if I can get the welcome bonus if I already have the card by doing a product change before that. Thanks!

@WW – when they sent you the new Flex's, had they all been converted to Mastercards or did you get a Visa Flex?
