In this video we show you how to combine the chase freedom flex with the chase sapphire reserve for a whopping 13.5% cash back on your grocery spending. These are two of the cards that make up the so called Chase trifecta, a very popular credit card combination in the US credit card market. Like the new Citi Custom Cash, the Chase Freedom Flex is a 5% rotating quarterly category card.

Just got my freedom card this past saturday. Aside from the revamped looks, the $200 bonus for just 500 in spend in 3 months is one of the reasons it's my 3rd chase freedom card to date! I have a feeling that 5% back on travel redeemed through points is gonna be my friend eventually too😂

I am getting 10% back from my Freedom Flex and because I work at a grocery store I get 10% off employee discount. Too bad I can't put food in a food savings account to eat years later when things get rough.

Chase needs to seriously buff their sapphire series and avoid large bonuses, locking people into a "catch all" mindset.

I'm glad I waited on the freedom flex. I'm ready to pick this one up. Now I'll have three freedom cards (two visa freedoms and one mastercard freedom flex). Now if only pay yourself back is a permanent feature, and I will absolutely go back to a CSR. Amex may still be worth all the hassle and new fee for us, but the simplicity of chase is calling my name.

How come this didn’t work for my husband? Did Chase discontinue the stack? I’m assuming you’ve had the Flex for a long period of time and didn’t get it after they rolled out the bonus grocery perk. My husband got the 5x for groceries, but not the additional bonus. He applied for the card only days before they added the one year grocery bonus. 😭

I wish that Chase would reward longtime customers with some of these rewards and bonuses for sticking with them for years. It would be great for customer retention.

If you've got the 10X Groceries & Gas w/ the AMEX Platinum and redeem them for a conservative 1.3 CPP, you're already getting 13% return on spend. Redeeming for 2 CPP putting in some effort would result in 20% return on spend.
