My score hasn’t moved in months, isn’t a 692
I'm in a rebuilding phase after some "life happens" a few years ago. It's nice seeing it slowly trickle upwards. I probably won't get to play the credit card game or get another mortgage for a couple more years, but life is ok for now!
790, I don’t know what’s holding it back.
I have 0 inquiries and am thinking about applying for two cards on the same day. Would that be okay or should I wait a few months to apply for the second.
Do you recommend us bank for credit cards???
I didn’t know to leave a little balance. I thought pay it off sooner faster is better. Learn something new everyday.
great video! i need to make videos on my channel on raising that credit score because there are many strategies to that.
30+ cards wait what?!?!? Where’s that video at we need to see those 👀👀👀
Been in that situation where I had to live in a lesser place because of credit score. Its crazy how bad credit can affect you and in how many different ways! Great topic!
Thanks for your videos 🙏🏾. Would be very interested in an updated hotel keeper card video, if you could work that into your queue. Thank you
Question? Do you leave a Small amount on a "charge card" as well? Or pay it off b4 due date ? Statement date?
Make a citi trifecta vs chase trifecta video for traveling
Is anyone else shocked by the average US FICO of 711?
Very informative. If I am near the 750 mark, if I lease a car , how much will leasing drop my score if I am at 750?
Credit scores are relatively meaningless because of the different ways there negatively or positively effected… Lose points for applying for a credit card or loan.. yeah that makes alot of sense.. while at the same time your score isn't positively effected by things like paying your utility bills on time every month..
We're the ones who take this almost meaningless number seriously which in turn gives all the power to these soulless institutions.
Oh and yes I do have a fantastic credit score before you ask.
so wells fargo canceled my original credit card and now my credit history went to shit, my best buy card luckily was only about a year younger than my WF card.
Now im looking to see what card I should get next to increase my total limit again.
I noticed that when my credit score hit 850 I get denied instantly..the denial letter said low credit card usage. To many hard inquires which is 2 mortgage inquires..
Having good Credit score is nice I built my credit score next from nothing from over a year so far I able get myself a car loan with ok interest rate
Bro I was rolling when he was preaching and all of a sudden he’s wearing the hat and then started spinning it. Lmao.
Took me a while to build my credit back up after some bad decisions early in my life. Then a card that I never use ended up with a small transaction fee that I forgot about. Ended up missing a payment now it screwed me over quick. Thanks for the tip of making more payments to offset the bad one. Hopefully that will help me get built up again.
As far as I know, the air force and navy check credit score as part of enlistment.
711, that sounds about right
Kids gots me in debt. So my 8,000 credit card debt(13 cards) is bad. I just bought a car so I got huge horrible interest rate. I picked up a part time gig to pay off my loans or at least half to bring up my score and refinance. Ty for these helpful tips.
Credit score is not something used in all countries though. In France, they determine if you are eligible to get a loan (e.g., to buy a house) based on the ratio between your salary, your expenses and your savings. Basically, if every month you 'burn' all your money, you're perceived as riskier than someone earning less but consistently making deposits to a saving account. I feel in the US people tend to buy things they don't need with money they don't have… The only times I feel one should need a credit is when buying 'big' things (house, car, etc.). Not for a TV. I’m 26 with over 800 credit score, time was put into that to build it up by 850CREDIT RESTORATION
I keep hearing different information on it. Someone said if you have a 1000 limit and you use the whole $1000 . I need to find out when my statement date is and pay $998.00 and leave a 2.00 balance reporting. She said reporting a 0.00 every month is like using your full balance. I’m confused! I have another card that reports a 0.00 balance every month and my score is not moving😩
Average score in USA is 711?!! Good job America lol
Hey @Sebby. Is your spreadsheet usable by people outside of US? Our credit score is managed by TU in my country.
It's weird because when you get 830 credit score you get denied.. And I said I got a 830 credit score they said that credit score has nothing to do with approval process….unbelieveable..
You got good credit you still get screwed. Either way bad or excellent you still get denied then I realize it's nothing but a joke
Nice
My credit score is 766 it dropped because I didn't realize each semester my student loans pulled my credit score. 🙁 I cancelled my loan for my last semester so it would not happen again.
This was awesome, thanks for sharing this 😀
what bout if you are stuck between the 720s-750 for a long period of time!?
Plus they tell you a credit score has nothing to do with anything
Usually, my score is in the lower 700s. But, right now I just moved/bought a house. I have had a ton of extra expenses, and my cards are loaded. So, my score is way down. It'll take me a little time, but I'll get them all paid off, unless something really bad happens! Score is around 648 now.
Can I remove 7 late payments from my credit score? I was always on my payments but after covid 19 my credit went bad
sebby's great! currently at 680 with 24 cards, 30% utilization. also have my chase & amex trifectas thanks to your tips & videos. next to get my utilization back down to 10-15%
Enough for 2 coffees, or 1 in San Francisco. 😭😭
How big of a deal is it to open a new card and how much of that would affect my credit score? I have a 15yr+ credit history and a high score and want to keep it that way, but would like to take advantage of some new credit card offers. I already have 5 or so existing revolving accounts.
How different is it by not having a credit card to buy a house?
this video is full of edge cases
Yeah but what about length of credit history it affects that 15 to 18 points for me…
The dude on the couch looked like Brian Laundrie. It was quick.
Awesome video.. thanks for all your help!
My best score has been about 750 and that was for a while after I got my first card, it's dropped to low 700s because I have some decently high utilization. I'm waiting for my 5/24 to be up currently while riding the interest free periods.
We paid off our mortgage and took a 100 point hit to our credit. This portion of the credit scoring system is broken.
I have a 795, I never payed attention to it. Just treat my CC like it's a debit.
