It would be funny to just have a normal amex card and put it in a black card sleeve or sticker π
If Pedro is 47, it was very easy to get a student card from any issuer in the 90's while a college student with no income, including Amex Green cards. This was the pre-CARD act era.
" you need to have purpose for this card " and he said not to "flash this card" for status symbols and people want it for all the wrong reasons… PLEASE. The concierge is the SAME as the platinum one you just have a dedicated concierge for black cards. He doesn't get real benefits from this in terms of points, just concierge? Well then he should have kept the platinum we all know anybody who gets this card gets it because its "special" and they know if they flash it they'll be treated differently and they can boost they have it, he looks like the same person who got it for exactly that reason. That article he talks in, A JOKE.
Can you do a video about the benefits of the Dubai First Royale MasterCard and the stratus rewards Visa card because I wanna know all the benefits of the lifestyle manager for the Royale MasterCard
Replace your plastic with metal-
lion credit card.ππ
The Amex black card are the friends we make along the way.
Call me crazy, but I donβt think I could ever get to the point of spending that much per year unless it was for business. Iβd rather qualify for the JPMorgan Reserve with $10mil in assets under management.
Have credit lion make your clear Amex a Amex Black card. Looks identical for $250. Only difference is behind the scenes.
I'd rather help someone in need if I could afford a $5,000 annual fee. π
i just can't understand why i haven't received an invitation yet….
AMEX did have a student application. That is how I got my green card in the late 1980's. I had a weekend job that did not pay much.
I live in Canada. Amex doesn't have a minimum income here. I was a able to get a card with under 10k income. If your a college student with a p/t job, you can apply for a card and get one
Thanks.
It's a gorgeous card thought but fees all together is higher than what I make right now however my hopes are high in the incoming year I'm confident it will be one of the cards I have in my wallet! I'm working on it it's a personal goal of mine.
Here's what young people don't know about Amex. When they issued the Green Cards back in the late 1970s, they had American customer service representatives who answered the phone calls to them immediately. It was part of the "American Express Experience" back then. When the Gold Card's came about, I got one myself in 1981. ( I still have an active Gold Card). Now with that level of service, I have to find my way through a myriad of buttons and spend tons of minutes on hold just to reach a competent agent. For a while, the agent would be located in India and they couldn't understand the customers. That may have changed by now? Not sure however. So, the moral of my story is, it takes a $5000 a year Black Card now to get the level of service one got from the standard Green Card back in the day. Also, the Green Card was a charge card, not a credit card. You had to pay the entire bill off every month. Now they are offering revolving terms on most of their cards. Its a new company in 2020.
I'd be happy with a platinum and gold forget centurion
The Black card is hardly something to aspire to. Really smart financial people don't spend $10,000 on status. Look at Warren Buffett.
Is there a way to know your (new) Financial Resilience Scores?
Amex had a student card program, back in the 90's-00's, for students who attend a 4-year college. If the man in the video obtained his Centurion Card prior to late 2009, the only requirement was spending $250K plus in a 12 month period.
I have an AMEX black card . . . . .
I spray painted my green card.
Are cardholders allowed to add authorized users to this account?
I wonder are you more likely to get a higher credit limit if you grab a card with higher annual fee? Or does it even matter
Back in the day they gave credit to college kids like it was candy. I was issued $12k credit between a Chase and American Savings and I was making like $7 an hour working like 6 hours a week.
The mentality back then was to bury financially irresponsible kids in debt early, because the baby boomers are evil like that.
I love how down to earth he is. No shower. Hair stickingout. He doesn't care
I have Amex platinum and the service is pretty nice as well.
250k? Could probably cash flow that buying a used import car dealership with the service center structured as it's own proprietorship.
Just pay for any required maintenance, parts and unused trade in value payouts auction pick ups (via paypal) with payment made same day to avoid CA compound schedule.
Cash flow is easy. Extracting value is the hard part.
In the 80s Amex was a beginner card. The green amex was my first card with no credit. I think the reason maybe was that it was a charge card.
I used to work at a store , 8 out of 10 customers had a centurian card . They get rejected like any other card.
Amex is probably a bit different in Germany but I am starting college right now and I just got my first Amex. You can even select βStudentβ as your occupation on the application form. Oh, and it also is a charge card. AFAIK Amex only does those in Germany. Iβm 19 and I donβt really have an extensive credit history.
Nice video. But for the record: Having wealthy parents does not stop you from committing huge financial mistakes. Quite the opposite actually.
can I get an amex or a centurion card even if I'm not american?
Great Content β
Amex use to do student cards. I skipped one in 1975 for $36 per year.
How u get that black card
This is SO stupid!!! Why would anyone want to pay $5,000 to have a charge card??? OMG people are so gullible.
Stupid!!! This is why American are in debth….Im educated and fairly comfortable and couldn't care less about a black card. Silly!
I got the black card invitation and thought it was from Amex…. it was from MasterCard!!!!! ππππππ
The only reason to have a black card is to flex. Otherwise he can get comparable rewards with the platinum card.
If I had the black card in my life would be worth living I wonder if Saint Peter takes the black card to get into heaven
One 911 Porsche Turbo S .. charged on my American Express πand Iβm in .
Trying to finish my chase cards before Jumping to Amex. ππ
