How to Make PROFIT by Paying TAXES With a Credit Card – The Credit Shifu

Try Plastiq ($500 free):
Credit Shifu Wallets:
Do you want to know how to pay taxes with a credit card, and how to profit through points, miles and extra benefits in the process? Then this is the video for you. We look at how to pay taxes online, with a credit card, through a service called Plastiq. Their service can actually be used for rent, mortgage and a load of other things, in addition to federal and state taxes. I chose to use the Amex Hilton Surpass card, because it offers a free weekend night when you spend $15,000 in a year.

NOTE ON FEE FREE DOLLARS: Sorry guys it appears that Plastiq currently has paused the $500 Fee free dollars for referral, I am guessing this deal will be back once the economy recovers. My bad. However this has been the deal for many years, so I expect it to be back in the future.

My credit score seems to use mid-cycle credit card balances…I usually pay off within a couple days of the closing, at the end of the month. Credit Karma at least shows the 15th as when they grab the balances.

I really wish that somebody would calculate all of these rewards cards miles cards etc. is it even worth going through all of this when you have to pay interest on all of your purchases that’s basically what gets me I just can’t seem to get past that aspect because it seems like for the amount of rewards that I receive I’m paying almost to that or maybe a little more in interest payments per month on everything I buy

You can't pay taxes directly with a credit card? Do you have to use Plastiq which charges 2.5%? Because I thought the IRS Direct pay charged less than 2.5% for paying with a card, but maybe I am thinking about a debit card. 🤔

We always file through Turbotax, so I think you can just pay by whichever CC you want. No Plastiq needed.

FFDs expire. This is a lame deal and a headache. Work part time in MCD for the money instead.

FFD expire. Use IRS and state sites directly. Plastiq is useful in niche situations only. I have given up on it.
