I got ridiculous value with Choice hotels during a college football weekend. The points required seem to be the same as a normal weekend. So it was about 32,000 points for 2 nights instead of ~$950. I ended up doing a points + cash offer for 12,000 points and $150.

I love the transfer bonuses to Virgin Atlantic and booking ANA First. ~83K AMEX MR Points for roundtrip SFO-TYO in First is one of the best deals in travel.

The positives I have found with AmEx:
-Their cards are complementary by design (of all the things to copy from AmEx, THIS would be it Chase!)
-ability to earn bonus points via Rakuten and Rocket Miles
-great offers (unlike Chase) that can earn sizeable cash back as well as points
-referral link can be used to sign up for any card
-regular transfer bonus offers

Great video Dustin! I just redeemed 78k AA points for 4 coach seats from LAX to BOS round trip plus $48 in total for the taxes. Used my Sliver Barclays aviator card for the taxes to get the free check bags and then used Amex Hilton Aspire card to upgrade the seats to MCE. Cash price was $1,148. This is for May travel this year. Your thoughts?

Yo Man. Thanks 4 all the info. You really pack a lot into this topic! CURRENTLY We only have one AMEX card. And our MR points are really adding up in only 4 months wish is GREAT! You really could have make 2 or 3 videos on that one topic! We’ve got also 40K MR points sitting on one card and currently we can’t even use it for our intended trip to Europe. LOL ! Thankful, we don’t need the cash ! So…. we’ll just hold on to them until next year ? LOL! Stay safe man !

For domestic flights these transfer points options are sad.

I really wish you could SHOW us how to get these deals vs. just talking about them. I’m not clear. How do I find out about fuel charges? How do I book a flight using points when transferring? How do I compare to get best value ? This may be dumb to you but would really help a newbie. That said, thanks for the info.

Thank you for the video. My wife and I are planning to fly to the Maldives in business/first class and have never used Amex MR transfer partners. We each have about 175k points(350k) total. Do you have any recommendations for which partner you’d use or would look at? Thank you and keep up the great work

I still have no idea how to use it. I understand there are many wonderful options, but how to use avianica on aa or ua, no idea. Plus I guess I have to have membership with all above mentioned airlines.

Great video Dustin! I just got approved for my first MR earnings card. 🥳 I searched for an hour and finally found a link to the Biz Gold 80 K, only 6K spend offer. Any suggestions on getting to Athens, Greece biz class from the southeast or east coast?
