Typos confirmed.
Ben, in your video you mentioned Visa Infinite when speaking about car rentals. The image of the redesigned CSR card shows Visa Signature.
I enjoy using the 24/7 Visa Infinite concierge with the current CSR and I’m a little concerned about Chase moving from Infinite to Signature. Can you share any insights on what to expect with this change?
Thanks, as always, for the stellar quality videos.
It would be nice if they compensated those who recently signed up a month ago for the $50 credit towards a hotel, since I just signed up and got my CSP then. Since the last detail about the new design of the card will be available to existing card members, does that mean I could ask to replace mine to be swapped with the new one, or will they push that out automatically? I remember when I got my CFU in 2018, shortly after a year later, they automatically shipped me a new one with the contactless/tap to pay method. Even with the Barclay card, they would always send me an updated one way before my current would expire, and they recently updated the design and added the contactless to pay.
Great break down! It looks like Chase is trying to compete with Amex now!
Bummer that they have Priority Pass for these new lounges.
Is the 10x points for hotel and dining on the reserve Permanent and without limit? That would blow the platinum out of the water!!!
I wonder if it counts as an online grocery store if you pay online and pick up your groceries up at the store. I could see myself doing that for some packaged foods, though I’m particular about my fresh meat and veggies so I don’t trust someone else to pick them out, and I’m wondering how the frozen food is handled (I’d be fine with them picking out the frozen food as long as I’m confident that it will remain frozen).
I like the new design. Will it still be metal tho? I like the flex 😂
Sorry….. I'm confused….. Are these new benefits in addition to current benefits or are they replacing them? If it's replacing them, am I losing my $300 annual travel credit with CSR? Also what does it mean "through Ultimate Rewards" – will we have to book all our restaurants, hotels, and car rentals through a chase portal!? These seem like great benefits for the CSP and not so much for CSR.
Glad the AF are staying the same
Do you think the reserve is still worth it? I renew in Sept and trying to decide if I should downgrade. I dont use the card a ton because im not eating out like i was before COVID but trying to justify keeping it. I assum youll make a video about this soon 🙂
Upgrages?!?
Check the title card shifu
all we wanted was 3x on gas
.. new design is pretty cool.. ive noticed the pics look better online though..
Jim carrey are you?
They need to bring back the original design with the chase text above with smaller text and logo
New benefits suck..
Platinum is still king.
Any word on Wells Fargo cards coming out yet?
Since chase declined me on a 780 credit score .. i dont want their cards. This is prob because of the 5/24 rule. But Amex got my back 🙂
They’re making it hard to justify the csr, might have to downgrade to csp next year when my af comes up, if nothing changes
My CSR sucks now.
Do these benefits affect the JP Morgan Reserve card as well?
Tbh reserve card holders are probably going to feel left out after looking at the preferred enhancements. Not only do the reserve benefits feel like an after thought, they create a conflict with everyone that ran the CSR + a hotel card combo. Pretty lame, even with the the fee not changing.
I kinda want to apply for the CSP before August 16th just to get the old design of the card haha. Would I still be eligible for all the new benefits once they go live though?
What's up with that 70's porno music in the background?
I’m downgrading to preferred. $450 hurts but was acceptable. $550 is just enough to say nah.
I have a CSP only for the 100,000 points. I have a platinum Amex although I know these cards don’t compete with each other the Amex customer service is just unbeatable. Chase customer support is horrendous! When you call you HAVE to make a selection then navigate through the automated system to get to someone. With Amex you call and say representative and you will speak to someone within 20 seconds!
Get the Apple Card!!!
Wish ya didn’t have to use portals and you can just shop in store or online
I think it's possible that Chase is allowing Priority Pass Users access to the Sapphire Lounges to entice loyal Amex users to Chase's line of cards, especially those that were traditionally loyal to Amex, but may be getting annoyed with their increased fees and what many consider to be debatable "perks" added as a result of the fee increase. I think it's fair to say that overall, Amex's lounge perks have a relatively strong appeal to its cardholders, so if Chase can up its game in that department, along with already having more flexible points earning and redemption, the friendlier travel credit, etc, this can cause some to either leave Amex or at the least add the Sapphire line to their collection. What would also help up Chase's lounge game would be allowing CSR cardholders access to the United Clubs when flying United, the way Delta Flyers with a Platinum Card can access the Sky Clubs, but perhaps that's "asking for too much".
In a few years or so, I see either a scale back to Priority Pass access, or even total abandonment of it.
The music that starts around 3:00 sounds like you're making fun of Chase … 🙂
They're pushing all this fine dining, meanwhile, I'm over here using my CSR at Taco John's . . . 🙂
new CSP design is gorgeous!
I learned a good amount on this NEW Chase Sapphire Preferred card that I made a video on my YouTube channel explaining why I got the credit card and other details.
Thanks and keep up the good work! 🙂
You are that tom dick and harry bud. If you want VIP, get yourself a centurion card.
Not impressed and don't like the $550 price increase. Can someone downgrade their Reserve for a Preferred or other Chase card? And if so, will it affect their credit scores?
Am I the only one who thinks that the old design is way better than the new one??!
