Really not worth it if you don’t really have a business
“Traunch”. You’re such a nerd bro 🤣🤣🤣
Definitely not worth it for me. I’m in the early game and I’m still building my foundation. I can’t wait to see if/when a personal card gets a sign up bonus increase. Thanks for the video
Interesting and cool video. I was targeted for Biz Platinum, i nearly discarded the email. The offer was 50k for $5k spend and then an extra 25k for another $5k spend in 3 months.. I took that offer.
These multi-traunch offers look to be becoming more of the norm. Smart move from the banks.
Too high if a spend for me. And for that reason, I'm out ✌️
Hey, I just got approved for the Chase Freedom Student credit card even though I’m way passed 5/25. I was standing at 7/24 and after the approval, now it’s 8/24. My credit wasn’t that high either. According to chase credit journey score, it was 692 at the time of the application
Are chase cards equivalent to Amex points?
If you can do the spend, probably worth it … but it's a lot of spend. For someone with less spend and not a business, I think I would do the Personal American Express Platinum with a 100K sign-up bonus and if I could swing the business spend, get the Business American Platinum factoring in the total annual fee between the two cards. I dunno though … haven't given it much thought.
Curious, with this new 100K SUB, did they get rid of the 100K/10K option?
I called Amex three months ago and they offered me 100k pts after $10k spend for the Amex Plat Business.
Sebby, it's time for you to get a different colored shirt.
Good PSA type video. Some people need to be reminded not to overreach in this hobby. Unless someone has some serious spend outside of the norm like a home remodel or something like that this offer is easily a pass.
Great video
This is perfect! Maxed out BBP $50k 2x spend so now time to lock in 100k points on Biz Plat. Thanks Sebby! 👍
👍🏼 I like content like this..

My question for you today is: Why did you start saying “It is Sebastian from AskSebby” on Aug 14th instead of “It’s Sebastian from AskSebby.” That’s the piece of information I really need to know today.
Not worth it if you don't fly once a month minimum.
I'm getting 60k/50k for a total of 110k… But too bad I already have this card.
I totally agree with doing video's like this, especially if you don't think cards (and certain offers) don't makes sense. I am here because of HOW you think and the analysis you provide. Generally agree that this offer doesn't make sense for most small businesses.
I agree most people who make this comment, that multi-level bonus spends are becoming more common. I think it is for higher end cards. 2 big examples are the Chase World of Hyatt or IHG Premier card.
Hello Sebby,
I have a question in regards to credit cards that offer 0% APR.
I’m starting a new business and need some small capital $3,500 to be exact to get things going.
If I make all my purchases with a credit card that offers 0% APR does this mean that when my statement comes I only have to pay my minimum balance?
If I only pay my minimum does that mean I wouldn’t have any interest the following month? & I would be fine as long as I pay all that debt at the end of the credit card terms?
I’ve never carried any debt on my cards so I don’t know how this works.
Appreciate your help!
I think one other edge case where this maybe makes sense is: you are mid to late game and are buying some time while waiting to get under 5/24… Thats kindof my case right now – at the high level of requirements, it seems like this minimum spend could take up at least the 3 months to hit, even using plastiq, but the plus is: being a business card, it doesnt add to 5/24, and thats 3 months of downtime from applications while you wait for a 5/24 slot, you basically can get 4 MR points per dollar on all spend, theres the dell credits, plus theres a wework benefit which is going away end of december…
Thanks … lots of info.
Hi, can I use this card to buy my business related stuff?
