The IRS has extended the tax filing deadline to July 15th 2020, an extension of 3 months. This is another way the US government is helping people cope with the 2020 recession. However, you may want to still file early, especially if you are owed a tax refund.

Press release from the IRS on the Tax Extension: https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/tax-day-now-july-15-treasury-irs-extend-filing-deadline-and-federal-tax-payments-regardless-of-amount-owed
It seems like most estimates say this will be over by July-August or so now 🧐
If anyone has already scheduled their payment you can call in and postpone this for a couple more months!
Sweet now I can hold off paying even longer haha
is someone claiming man owes a tax?
Problem is i had applied for a new credit card in February to get a sub by paying my taxes, cant get my sub, and get the
extension.
Ca has extended filings and payments to July 15th.
Hi the best tax advise is file a valid return ASAP. Don't delay filing because you can't afford to pay. The reason is, the statute of limitations for IRS and states to collect taxes starts when the return is filled.
Sincerely yours

P.S. Can't afford to pay your taxes? Now is a good time to get on an Instalment Agreement.
What about the persons that already file and are waiting for the money?
Exactly what I was thinking the other day. Thanks man!
Glad I don't pay state income tax
Paid my taxes to hit the 80k signup bonus on the CIP. Not to bad of a deal.
How will this virus situation in general affect credit in situations where people aren’t required to pay in this volatile situation? For example: renters being barred from evictions and therefore you’re racking up debt until the situation is cleared up and evictions are allowed again. Will we take hits on our credit?
