Welcome to MtM #Vegas – Our weekly look at the cool #news and happenings in Sin City.
This week we talk about what Vegas is like right now. #Uber and Lyft are back to charging for surges, the Aria Express tram is back and everything is at 100%. So does it feel like old Vegas?
Plus I stayed at Park MGM and give a mini review of my stay plus show you how I scored an AMAZING deal through Chase’s luxury hotel program. I paid $80 out of pocket for the room + $160 in food credit for the night. It’s one of my favorite Vegas deals and you don’t want to miss it.
We also discuss the possible downgrade of the exterior of MSG Sphere (judging from the concept art), how Stadium Swim is raising their prices A LOT and whether or not Vegas is turning into Times Square with all of the screens.

You should mention that people who stay at the Golden Gate Hotel have access to the stadium swim pool since they are the same owners as a Circa
Stayed at Circa on Sunday and Monday, Memorial Day. Went in to Stadium Swim for free around 11am, 1130ish. Got in no problem… Rates weren't too bad either. Checking in sucked, but everything else was perfect. Would not spend more than 40 for Stadium as a non guest tho. Anyone thinking of booking Circa, DO IT. Amazing restaurants, 8 East super underrated. Legacy Club was top notch. Make reservations!
Musk pissed off the libs. That doesn’t mean everyone doesn’t like him sheesh! He has accomplished so much good for him. Billionaire without a filter👍🏼
Great video! Check out Akhob! It’s a cool show in crystals but it’s reservations required!
Great video guys! Anyone have any thoughts on the Plaza pool? Have a cabana rented there and hope it's worth it.
I don't comment often enough, so enjoy these shows, really appreciate you keeping us Brits updated🇬🇧 We'll get back there, one of these days… Meantime, keep 'em coming guys 👍🏻
so what's the deal with live?…..its like watching a 1960's fake color TV (was a thing, actually had a "color strobe" over black an white<¬¬¬¬hideous)……your footage of Stadium Swim was crystal clear….I know sometimes live is clear, but very rarely (edited footage is way better)!
Tired of hearing about the stupid tunnels. They’re never going to be worth what’s being spent on them. They’ll only move a fraction of the people that they should. Expand the monorails system instead.
I love your cap Mark and what does the D stand for? Probably a stupid question but I’m from the Uk 🇬🇧
Beerhaus between park mgm and nyny a great spot for VGK games
Easy: I miss old Vegas!
Hey Mark, enjoy AK. I was born and raised there. I’d imagine you’re going to Anchorage. Such a cool city to explore.
How did you leave out the other news on June 1st? Smoke lounges became legal. Times Square and the New Amsterdam. Let me tell you, the comment threads of that coverage is… divided… to put it mildly. The Sphere was a really ambitious vision from MSG. If they keep the interior as planned I don’t think the screens will matter. It always felt like a video game rendering and not a realistic goal.
Stadium Swim is the hot ticket and they are for sure capitalizing on the momentum.
Stadium swim was $20 in March when I went and $30 in early May when I went. I guess during the winter it will be $10 and go up from there until October/November when the weather cools off.
When the unemployment bonus ends you'll have more UBERS than people
I think the boring tunnel system will end up working great.
Just got back from a 4-day stay in Las Vegas. Prices are through the roof. $5 for a bottle of pop? $16 for a cheeseburger and fries at the casino food courts? Price is on the strip are way out of control. Not to mention how many places close by 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. . The city that never sleeps has turned into the city that goes to bed when my grandparents used to go to bed
I think Xmas lights would be cheaper. Plus it looks festive lol… keep up the great videos gents
Thanks Guys. Very informative.
No, the hate of the tunnel system is that what was delivered is not what was promised. It does NOT have a 4,000 person per hour capacity. Also — the kind of tram you like at Aria could, indeed, have been installed at LVCC for less.
How did the $100 credit work for you? I looked into it after watching this and one page mentioned that you only get the credit after your first night stay and it has to be used before checkout.. Is that accurate? For a 1 night stay that would leave a small window between breakfast, separately credited, and checkout to use the credit for lunch.
Uber is not reliable for people in wheelchairs which taxis were easy to get. I used to love going to Las Vegas but am concerned since Uber took over the transportation. Las Vegas was a great vacation for me as a wheelchair bound person , I hope it returns.
Look for the TV comics to do some fun spoofs when The Sphere is finished. Maybe a bit where it opens fire on Tropicana, like it's REALLY the Death Star.
As a former student, and resident of LV, I lament the crowded buildings, and less open feel of the strip area. It's all been taking shape for some time now, I think it's less attractive in some ways. These things go as as go, and are what they are. I'm glad I still have local friends that live in the perimeters where I can either go or avoid it all.
Everytime I have gone to Las Vegas, I have always thought to myself, "why in the world did I just do this"???? Needless to say, I haven't been back in years.
What about Caesars ripping out one of the great Vegas icons…..Cleopatra's Barge……No more naked women in Vegas!
Cleopatra's Barge has been around for 50 years, now the new owners say…out!
Thanks for the video! I was never one of the people excited about RW, but willing to give it a chance. That red bug zapper is such an eye soar. They better not be doing that!
Like it or not Vegas is constantly changing. I can't remember the last time the strip was free of some kind of construction. I wish they would update ( resurface) the freeways more often. As always, a fun and informative show.
insane pricing to get into a swimming pool, all be it is fantastic, but cmon 70 dollars, totally crazy, they wouldnt get my money
I'm from Alaska! I'm going to vegas on Wednesday god forbid I make it out alive.
Vdara is pretty awesome.
Biggest complaint is the rooms are a little dated, but very nicely appointed.
Uber from The D or Freemont Experiance is crazy..
Walk to El Cortez and it's usually HALF..
Very
I have watched several of your videos and found them all to be a total delight to watch. Keep up the good work.
F-you, resort fees! WTF. This is pissing us off to the point of nearly saying F-you Las Vegas. How does it go from $35 a night to over $100 a night? Just be Fkng honest, don’t give us hidden fees once we start to pay! Holy shit this is pissing me off. And, paid parking on the Strip? Resort fees? For what? Yeah, I really want to go to a place, where —before i even get there —I know i will have the feeling and bad smell of being scammed. Las Vegas is quickly starting to sound like a place to be avoided
Another great update on things Las Vegas. I'm too claustraphobic to ride tunnel that long. What happens if a car breaks down? Looking foreard to a live presentation. You guys' are the best.
Thanks guy, have fun in Alaska get some cold on! The air is clean.
Nomad looks great!
14:42 What the heck is that? Uber helicopter? Uber submarine? 🤪
$2B for the MSG Dome?? That's crazy …with or without the screens. I now understand why Circa's pools are called StadiumSwim….because Circa must be swimming in money at those prices 😄
I enjoy listening to your weekly look at, as you say, "the cool news". As always, great job guys! 👍
Were can I get a poster like that on your wall? (TWA)
Going to Vegas in March 2022,great to get so many tips, wondering what the difference is when it comes to getting picked up at the airport, would renting a limo service be all that much expensive and would arriving at your hotel get you better attention at the hotel. Possibly make em think your a high roller and get comps?
Just got back from Vegas and they were washing chips in Flamingo. I took a picture of them washing chips at a craps table
Tesla will probably always be a problem. They should have just extended the monorail everywhere. It would not of cost anymore probably and it would be so much easier to use and each car would hold more people.
