Great sign up bonus for a no annual fee card.
If Chase is smart, they will continue to incentivize new card members with a strong SUB. Amex is killing it in the SUB department. Would be nice if they also offered the highest spend category for yet another 4x points on top of the 9x on groceries. Looks like that was just a Q4 promo. Great video as always. Hah… I just picked up the flex for that 9 percent this quarter. Hey maybe you have some insight on this: I called chase for phone insurance question, they referred me to mastercard… Mastercard said the flex card no longer has phone insurance. I did this 3 times for consistency.
I might get this card next…

Amex platinum premium rental insurance is PRIMARY insurance, this is a great benefit.

Dammit! I'm still in 5/24 jail until Sunday 😭 guess I have no reason to rush into the personal card. Maybe I should go for companion pass (SW business + personal SUBs, $4k spend)
There is a ongoing discussion that chase removed the cellphone protection on the flex

How do we know that we got the the extra 4% groceries?
I went to Chase in person specifically for this offer yesterday. I explained to the Chase rep that I wanted this offer on the Freedom Flex because it was the last day to apply for the $200+5% on groceries. The Chase rep entered the application and it was approved, but when I checked online later I saw that she submitted the wrong welcome bonus ($250 instead of $200+5% cashback on groceries for 12 months) 😕 It’s frustrating because she entered the information on her computer from behind a huge plastic screen (for COVID protection), so it’s not like I could see that she put in the wrong bonus from where I was sitting. I called Chase and they submitted a request to the marketing department to fix the welcome bonus (I should hear back in 10-14 days). Not sure if there’s anything additional I can do to get this corrected.

Chase UR points vs. Amex MR points. Which do you value more? I'm finding it hard to choose which card to use for coffee/groceries/restaurants – Amex Gold OR Chase Freedom/Sapphire Reserve.
