I could see the Sphere host events like Wrestlemania or electronic dance music festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC). I could also see a local community college or high school sports tournaments, much like what Orleans Arena does, but with more space.

Good move for Oakland A's. The city has been in a spiral downwards over the years. Vegas is a destination city. Nobody plans on going to Oakland.

Just got home from Vegas and it was strange to being wearing the mask for the first half of the trip and the restrictions were lifted and it felt like business as usual again. So much easier to order and talk with friends in loud casino environment with those things on. As far as the Sphere it will look amazing but best of luck recouping that cost. Only in Vegas. Thanks for the updates!

We had an Arena Football League team for many years and it was great. Timing of the season was key as it gives football fans some live games to watch in the Spring. Tickets were also much cheaper than what you see in the fall so that made it easier to go to games. A lot of AFL teams are based in mid-sized cities that don’t have NFL or major college teams.

Stupid ass people saying, "I'll have to wait and see". Wait for what? If you have been vaccinated, the throw away that stupid ass mask. Grow up America

Of the MGM resorts, you left out Vdara, Aria. Are they fully open?

I think it is great that the Monorail is reopening. I'm happy things are starting to open back up and getting to 100%

No masks on the strip, at casinos… But us locals still are being told to wear them in the rest of greater las Vegas…. What a bunch of idiots

the monorail not going all the way to the airport or downtown makes it pretty irrelevant for me, shame 🙁

Are there any resorts, restaurants, etc., actually asking to see the Covid vaccine cards for patrons?

I trust the science, I just don't fully trust people. Too soon. Mask up a while longer, to be safe.

Vegas used to be known for good cheap buffets. Now the buffets and restaurants are overpriced. I eat in food courts

Hey guys I love the channel. I am here in Vegas for Glass Vegas 2021 which I hear is the first convention back at Bally’s since COVID. The masks came off after the first night and that was cool. I am here to say that while it has been wonderful to be here in Vegas doing a show, the customer service here at Bally’s is terrible. I am currently stuck in my room with 9 items (basically my whole booth) and no bell service available. Do they really want me to haul all my stuff across the casino floor?

My Vegas is now offering free room nights and free play at Peppermill in Reno. I'm happy about it, we like to visit there when we go to Reno.

Hi Shawn and Mark! Thank you so much for this video! Will be interested in seeing where Vegas is with Covid in August. I do not think it is a great idea for EVERYONE to go without a mask. Time will tell. Good thing that the Monorail is re-opening which will be able to move more folks to the Convention Center. Stay safe and healthy out there Guys! Enjoy your week. CAB😊

Hotels would be foolish to get rid of all their plexiglass. Better to keep most of it in storage unless it's just too expensive to do so. Unfortunately they are probably going to need it again in the not-to-distant future.

Well if the MSG sphere is designed to be around for at least 20 or 30 years or more then I can see were they will eventually make their money back , it will just take 10 years or more. I they have really exclusive events that sell for 1k to 5k or more per seat then I can see where they could generate a lot of money really fast. And this arena football league has been in existence for 14 years now and is expanding the one coming to Vegas is actually an expansion team so they must be doing pretty well. And boy what a contrast of marketing for the shows, not hard to tell who is the main event ,platinum , high dollar and center stage show there. And Katy Perry looks like something straight out of the 60s with the color choice even the typography and makeup style looks like a fun light heart family show. Luke Bryan just looks like the cheaper alternative. Carrie Underwood just looks like the upscale alternative to Celine maybe a little less pricey , looks like they are trying to cover all the bases.

Oh, so that's what MSG stands for. I thought it was Monosodium Glutamate and I couldn't figure out why they were naming a sphere after it. I was hoping they would have really good Chinese food.

That is AWESOME news about the masks!!! FINALLY!! Although, the MGM says "fully vaccinated guests" can go maskless, but it's against federal law (HIPAA) for them to ask you to provide any proof that you are "fully vaccinated". So no idea how they plan to "enforce" such a thing.

Wish the monorail went to the new Virgin resort. Then we could use it to get to the Hofbrauhaus.

I can walk from the Mirage to Mandalay Bay, but get too tired to walk back, so take an Uber back to the Mirage for $11. Going across to MGM and catching the monorail back to Harrah's for $5 will be nice.
