What do you think about the new rotating bonus categories? Are you excited or disappointed by them?
I can ALWAYS use a point bonus on gasoline!
Love the bonus category for gas on the Chase Freedom.
How do you go about getting the home screen on your phone that illustrates the cards and point info?
I just got a new phone from verizon and when i saw this category for the chase freedom, I was thinking I could pay off the phone to get the 5%, but i saw in the video that it wouldnt work. Could someone confirm this?
The lock screen is a great idea I have never heard before, and I’m going for it. It gets hard for multiple card owners especially when the plan is to hit one specific card for its bonus categories, only for Amex to barge in and tempt you with: “hey, here’s an Amex offer for the next month”; destroying your focus strategy.
A good thing for my personal tracking spreadsheet is to record a column of credit limit increase request/approval dates for each card. This can also become hard to remember if you have several cards, but is key to keeping utilization low. And some issuers are stringent about the amount of time you must wait in between asking for increases 🤷🏻♂️
Costco’s credit card isn’t bad as a long term cash back. I don’t know what else earns 2% in club. The once a year cash back can also help you save.
This new quarter with Chase is huge for us, as all the categories cover ALL of our typical monthly bills. Too bad we’re moving abroad later this year or we would take advantage of the discover as-well.
Congratulations on all your achievements!
I have most of the cards, and Those are all good cards
I also use my chase freedom more for rewards
Tools are perfect , thanks again ! Have you considered making them for other cards for their categories such as Hilton cards etc?
I can officially confirm that the Chase Freedom DOES earn 5% on Costco Gas this quarter! 🙌
