Episode Description
Despite some conflicting statements, we learned this week when the sale of #Mirage from MGM Resorts to Hard Rock International will be complete. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I like no filming policies in casinos. I hate when people shove their camera in your face.
What are your thoughts on Tillman buying Wynn stock? Do you think he will buy the company? If so does he keep Golden Nugget? Do you think he will still build that new property next to Planet Hollywood? If he buys Wynn he would also get control of the land Frontier use to sit on across from Wynn. Will he keep the Macau properties or sell them? Thanks for the great show guys!
Good one guys. I like this new short format better.
I have a room at the Mirage booked for the week of Dec 19! Wonder what that means for me and MGM Rewards. I haven't received any emails from MGM about the switch.
I like to video record the slot machine when something big happens but that's about it. I suspect the casinos don't want to see people lose though.
I have found that hotel rates vary a lot depending on your status. Were you logged in when you took those screenshots? What tier are you?
We have a timeshare and for a while it didn't seem worthwhile since we got so many great offers, but MGM has really changed recently. I see these rates that make me happy I can stay at my timeshare. (And save money by eating in my own kitchen for breakfast or lunch).
Dec 19th is my birthday
Its gotten expensive. I went ahead and starting booking almost a year out just for affordability.
That said, I will be there December 18th-20th so I am interested to see what happens with Mirage/Hard Rock that weekend
MGM SUCKS !!
The good news?
A Michigam team lost.
The bad news?
A Michigan team won.
Las Vegas has enough of Oaklands trash.
Anyone else see the cringy videos from the guy who charges people to play high limit slot machines? Can’t stand his cheesy “just like that” catch phrase. 🤮
At the same time that the companies are Nickel and diming us to death, the service they provide has almost become non existent. No staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. No one smiles and it seems like im bothering them to get something. I'm tired of tipping everyone for nothing. Our local casinos offer a better product in every category. I love Vegas and have been going for over 30 years, but at the end of the trip I dont feel that "I can't wait to get back" feeling anymore.
Ok I want the astros to lose now.
I think when more and more foreign countries get rid of their Covid restrictions Vegas travel will take a downturn
“time is ticking?!!” IT’s THE CLOCK IS TICKING MUNCHKIN🎃
Thank you for the video was very informative
Until people quit traveling to Vegas the higher prices will not change and keep going up.
The slot channels make me wanna play if anything 😂 MGM is giving broke vibes with this new rule
1:02 I just booked Mirage for Memorial Day week, price was super cheap ( $90) for the week. I booked hoping the move me to Bellagio, Aria, Etc.
Banning filming in the gaming areas is totally fine by me. That was always the rule in casinos around the world to begin with. Anything they do to reduce the number of "influencers" on the property is a win in my book. Go influence somewhere else.
Don't want to go down the tunnel at a stadium with Michigan St., players around you could get ganged up on 😆.
I hope Vegas doesn't give the A's public money, let the owner pay it, or go some where else.
As you say Vegas is costing alot more than we were use to pre lock down smh, l wait for week day special rates and try to get $80.00 range or less with rip-off fee.
MGM management being short-sighted bean counters. WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED?
LOL
Hey MGM goofballs: I personally lost $200 at Cosmo because a youtube creator had a big group pull there and I wanted to meet the dude. The one and only time I ever went to Cosmo.
As long as I can get midweek comps I'll continue to visit a few times a year. I go with Caesars; MGM is far behind in my opinion.
The grooming process of paying more and getting less isn't isolated to casinos. Went to Ross today, 15 people in checkout lane and 2 cashiers as an example. We are paying with our time as well as money..new norm is well in play.
The As need Vegas more than Vegas needs the As.
I tend to go to Vegas about six times a year or so and I get great room rates since I do play enough to get comped, I have noticed that I’ve had to spend more money to reach my comps but still worth it at least to me compared to what I am getting. I do agree I am getting less service and or options for dinning or open late eats just feels like it’s all going down so it might effect my trips going forward in 2023.
Literally lol'd when he said "how arrogant" about F1 🤣. Have you seen the other prices associated with the event, VERY ARROGANT!
MGM made a knucklehead decision!
No Chris Angel joke? 😢
We got rooms mid week for Nov 20-25 at Planet Hollywood and it was $38 for the room plus resort fees. that doesn't seem too bad.
6:35 I have a slight problem with some of these new slot channels, one that just started recently ( and the owner was mentioned at the start of your video ) wins almost every time she is at a slot machine. It's pretty OBVIOUS she is only uploading the slot play where she wins in order to make cash on HER Youtube account via views, likes, subscribers. Given todays sue happy world I wonder if she is creating some sort of liability for herself ( small fish) but also the casinos if they could prove they let the videos be filmed knowing only select play was shared.
Casino don’t want anyone else scamming us out of money! That was hilarious. Great channel keep up the good work. I can see why they want to control it, casino is one of the few places where phone use is 2nd on peoples mind.
Those average room rates seem extremely low.
The Airbnb rates really shot up for 2023 I saw as well. So much so that you really only save a dollar or two staying in one. The floor has been raised city wide. Sucks. There are still values out there though. I found 5 nights at Tahiti on Decatur for next to nothing right before Christmas. Fox rent a car is practically giving cars away too compared to other companies. Casino wise, you just need to stay well away from the Strip. Places like the Cannery, South Point, JW Marriott Rampart, Virgin, Palms, Gold Coast, Suncoast, and Ellis Island have a lot to offer the average player/tourist still. Not to mention downtown. I haven't looked at the rates for Main Street Station, Golden Gate, or the D lately, but there's usually a lot of value there.
Great episode guys. I personally do not care to watch slot play, and rarely play, but I can see how this is big news for a segment of the LV YTube people. Hopefully these vloggers can still be critical of the properties that need to review each person who films, otherwise things will get boring.
Screw the As for only choosing a city based on public money
I'm booked for flamingo mid December 3 nights, flamingo king for $200 Including fees. Some place were pretty high but lowered a lot after a point.
I'm resigned to the fate of the Criss Angel references as being dead……..So sad. Keep up the good work Love your Show. Heard Criss Angel was going to make the Mirage volcano to vanish! on his next show!
As an out of town vloggers coming in on Nov. 15 thru 20th. That want to film at a MGM properties our answer is a big NO.
He owns Gallery Furniture which is a massive store in Houston that delivers your furniture today or it’s free. He is a Texas gentleman.

I film my slot play at MGM hotels all the time and I've never had security approach me.
I’m booked mirage 12/15-19 comp’d my host mentions nothings about name change or rewards points not being recognized 🤔 as for the those slot Channels those guys are making money using the venue the casinos provides of course the casino should charge them 😉
