Join us for the monthly MtM Vegas Happy Hour featuring MtM Founder Shawn Coomer, MtM Managing Editor Mark Ostermann and Bethany Walsh from Bougie Miles. On this month’s livestream we’ll have a few drinks and discuss Shawn’s horrendous stay at Aria where he almost walked out because of a dirty room with tons of problems. We’ll go over what happened and how it was resolved both good and bad.
Plus we’ll also talk some of the new shows/residencies coming to Vegas, whether Caesars Bacchanal Buffet is worth $75 (what happened to the pre-opened crab) and how crowd levels are. Bethany is an Aria fangirl so this one should be interesting! 😁

I only stay at sky suites . But never ever had a bad room
Absolutely no reason for m rooms to be in that state. Ever. Especially higher end. Old decor is one thing, filth is another.
Bethany ♡♡♡
Carbone A#1!!!
Always a fun time watching you guys! Great info all the way around
The Aria discussion was so gross; the cleaning of rooms should be first and foremost the most important job at these Hotels. There should be heads rolling! Who at these Hotels think this is OK? Then the comments just reiterating what you are talking about – I'm tossing up my delicious filet mignon dinner! I had to plug my ears the minute I heard the word 'drain' from Mark. Blaaaaaah!! WTF is going on in Vegas? I don't know where to stay the next time I go – one thing I can't handle is a gross, disgusting room icky room. Google indicates Aria is a 5* Hotel. I don't think so!
The Pink Pony as bad as Kadys @the Riveria used to be
Hey guys, I'm hearing that there are Housekeeping fees now so if you want your room cleaned you have to pay for it. Is there any truth to this?
Bacchanal is $75 now?!! Geez! Mother's Day Dinner is gonna be close to $100 now. Forget it.
The Luxor where people always fell off the pyramid thing and where people get shot 😂😂
Jean George's is the best steak I ever experienced. Just sayin'.
Constructive Criticism- She ruined the entire show, first time I couldn’t finish one of your shows. Her constant interrupting to quibble about how amazing she is got old real quick.
Bethany I also stalk dogs while on vacation!
I stayed in a Staywell room at Vdara in July. The room wasn't very clean. There was a milky stain on the couch, some peanut crumbs on the floor, fingerprints on the cabinetry, trash in two of the drawers, and the seal on the fridge didn't seal so it wasn't cold. I was very disappointed.
I see where The Youngs say two drink ticket at bacchanal was stingy? What does that mean, you only get 2 non-alcoholic drinks with your buffet? Just curious…we have reservation at Bacchanal pretty soon
Fun fact. Encore Boston Harbor replaces their carpeting every 8 months. What’s more, their housekeeping associates keep every aspect of their property clean as a whistle. When I stayed at Encore Las Vegas, I had the same clean experience there. Wynn properties set the cleaning standards in hospitality, IMHO.
The Whiskey Business at the Chandelier bar is the best cocktail I've ever had. Love playing vp there.
I stayed at Aria in April and July of 2021. Both times had to switch rooms multiple times to find a clean room. Will definitely be staying somewhere else on my next trip.
Please fix the volume issues for the next episode. Mark is about half the volume of the Shawn and Bethany. It makes it extremely difficult to follow.
They are planing a room refresh at Aria but I think they are starting with the Sky and Tower Suites. We stayed at a corner suite in August and had no issues. Hopefully, things will get better all around.
OYO= On Your Own
I stayed at the Aria several times in 2020, but luckily never had that experience. During the pandemic, they did not offer daily housekeeping, although I did get daily cleaning in the wellness room. I was carrying all sorts of disinfectants with me and always did a preliminary cleaning myself upon arriving, although I don’t travel with a vacuum (hahah). I also leave a generous tip daily for housekeeping and generally started over-tipping during the pandemic; this always ensures better service. There was also a different boisterous kind of crowd in Vegas especially during the weekends during the pandemic when rates were more affordable. Aria (MGM Rewards) has a generous rewards program, and I usually got my room comped; this was definitely an incentive. Restaurants at Aria are fantastic, and the pool is great.
I’ve been staying at Aria forever and it’s by far my favorite place in Vegas. That said, the past two times I’ve stayed there I had to call to fix the automated controls in the rooms, housekeeping comes super late in the day, they skimp on towels and now I’m not good enough with a life out of nowhere for comps and can only get “2 nights” comped instead of 3. Last time also in July, there was no high limit tables or regular tables open. Think it’s time to try Wynn or Resorts World. They definitely need to renovate the rooms.
Explain how you can drink at the cosmo chandelier bar free or cheap again?
Our last stay at Aria was disgusting. It went from our favorite hotel to one we won't return to again until it has been renovated. We posted a video yesterday of the room(s) we were given.
