This is always a fun video to make, but I look back on my 3 predictions for 2020 to see how I did. Then I also make prediction on what I think will happen with travel credit cards in 2021. Some include the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Amex Lounges offerings, Citi reversing a stupid decision, and Airbnb making moves

A CSP refresh would be FIRE🔥😎 If they did, do you think Chase would remove the rule that we cannot get approved for both the CSR + CSP at the same time? 🤨
Would like to see another high Sapphire bonus this year hopefully.
I'll watch over lunch. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 #algorithmcomment
First!!! 🔥
I like your thinking around a possible Airbnb credit card too. I could see that being a big hit with a lot of people 💥👍
Would love to see Airbnb launch a rewards program and AMEX add them as a travel partner.
Sapphire Reserve also needs a refresh — it's been able to tread water with the pay yourself back option, but giving the freedom cards 3x on dining creates significant overlap with CSR!
My prediction (or at least wish): BBVA/PNC are going to come out swinging with exceptional cashback cards, maybe take Airbnb on.
I’ve been sold by the idea of removing the one sapphire rule as well as giving CSP at 2% on everything. CSR adding an investment option for redeeming points like the Amex Plat Charles Schwab would turn it into a keeper card for me. That only would be the greatest perk introduced by Chase for the CSR this year.
Along the same lines as Airbnb, doordash would be another great cobranding opportunity for Chase given they already have a partnership. Lots of opportunities in the delivery space there especially since doordash also partners with Wal-Mart+
I love airbnb especially when I travel abroad 😀
Yea I agree, the CSP needs a refresh badly. Other cards in Chase's line up are way better or are way more worth it than the CSP
1. The Amex Copper, with authorized precious metal dealers, 2X on Dell and Saks.
2. BoA will partner with Diamond Resorts, and sign their cardmembers up for timeshare presentations without consent.
3. Chase will add a "gambling portal", an online casino to try your luck with UR points.
hi Dustin I bet Chase and Amex people are on you daily lol. I wonder if you can make a video on how to use paypal on amex for the 30 dollar. Seems we all know there is a credit but not enough on how to use it step by step lol
One sapphire rule needs to go guys! What a dumb rule it is!
I feel like the sapphires are brokeren right now. The freedom Unlimited is also providing 3x, which makes them almost useless
A 3x and 4x for the preferred and CSR would be the bare minimum
Add gas too
My prediction is Amex is gonna let the airline credit be able to work with gift cards again
Just sitting on the sidelines waiting for Chase to blow me away with some SUB.
should I hold to get the Hilton Aspire then?
Chase needs a card with a Gas bonus. It was nice when the Sapphire cards had them for a couple months.
I agree about Citi. Citi really needs to bring back travel insurance. What is the point of getting 5x on airfare (Citi Prestige) if you have zero flight insurance? 🤔 .
I have the amex plat and I am enjoying the extra benefits, I also have the CSP and venture and they suck. No offers at all or retention offers
Not a prediction but more of a wish, I hope to see a World of Hyatt premium card that mimics the Hilton Aspire.
I'm digging that CSP refresh prediction with the higher credits and AF. Makes a lot of sense if they want to butt heads with the Amex Green card
Never used Air BnB…may give it a go this year if stuff settles down. My only prediction is that USBank’s Altitude family of cards (GO, Connect, Reserve) will start sharing points. Still think a Altitude Reserve refresh is “in the cards” as well, but when they pulled the Reserve from their website and then put it back without changes…makes me a little less certain on that part of things. The only big issue I see with the Altitude “trifecta” is that the proposed Connect card bonus categories overlap some with the Reserve. If they can figure out a way to have those three cards complement each other though…even without much in the way of transfer partners…I think it would be a great setup. Now all they have to do is make the Connect as awesome as the GO is…something to justify that $95 fee. But if (I say when) you can transfer points to the Reserve. All your 4x categories become 6x, and 2x becomes 3x. Imagine if they altered the Connect to be 4x on fuel and groceries (probably capped) instead of travel…and left the Reserve as the “travel card”. Then you have the GO for dining, the Connect for fuel and groceries, and they can both feed into the Reserve for travel. That’d be huge. And it sounds like a lot, but the only changes to what we’ve seen in spoilers is the grocery thing…and the point sharing. But I think the point sharing is a done deal…otherwise they wouldn’t have branded the new cards as Altitude…and probably just made them cash back instead of points (as they did the Cash+).
If citi brings back travel protections, I'll wear a sooner shirt (eewww)
That would be funny if you made a video called: "What's worse? CSP or Amex Green?" lol
I predict the entire BoA ecosystem collapsing and Dustin yelling/shaking his fist at the sky
"Paying with a heavy metal credit card at a drive-thru" 😂😂😂
Can you do a video on discover point value vs chase freedom flex points value?
My 2021 goal is to get that US Bank Altitude Reserve!!
Due to people churning I think they will never drop the "one Sapphire" rule, unfortunately. A customer who only has one is more profitable because non-maximizer types will leave some rewards on the table.
I think the Sapphire refresh will happen. At I hope so. Take care Dustin and keep the family safe!
Maybe Amex could let you use that annoying airline fee credit for lounge buddy. That would be a great way to promote lounge buddy and give a little more flexibility for the credit
5:27 Yes, please, Chase! Enough with this silly "One Sapphire" rule! I want to have both the Chase Sapphire Preferred and the Chase Sapphire Reserve! Please!
Are we certain Amex is planning refreshes? The Everyday cards could certainly use an update.
If Citi brings back the travel protections, I'll forsake the Propel and get the Premier ASAP. I need a gas card, anyway.
