Hey credit warriors and we are in the middle of the winter storm of the decade, well I think they said it was a five year snow event and I am about to head out skiing. But first, let’s go inside. First I wanted to let you know that the meeting Uber credit on the Amex gold card is now live! So we have been waiting for this for a few months, we did get tipped off through Amex reps that it would come at the start of February and indeed it did.
So last night saw some people posting in our Facebook group the credit dojo about their credit so at 8:51 pm I added my gold card to my Uber wallet and a $10 credit was immediately deposited in my Uber account and obviously you can see I have credits from the Amex platinum there too, one of which expired last night. So for a few hours I actually had $40 Uber cash. But I should only get $25 per month $10 from the gold card and $15 from the platinum.
Anyway if you have the gold card and it is already added then you will automatically get the Uber credit, if not the go ahead and add it to your Uber wallet in the Uber app and you will immediately get $10 Uber cash in your account. So now with the other dining credit for seamless grub hub etc you get $240 in free food. That alone almost covers the $250 annual fee.
You will also get a free Uber eats pass for a year. This gets you $0 delivery fee and 5% off orders over $15. Just remember you have to have it on auto renew for it to renew each month so you will have to switch it off in a years time unless you want to start paying for it, which is what Amex is counting on, you forgetting and literally paying for it every month for years until you realize!
Anyway guys have fun with your Uber credit and Uber eats pass, and I gotta get to the ski mountain before I miss all the powder!

Canceled Amex gold last year $250 is not worth for a card that I can’t use every time I try and use the credits they don’t work for my situation

I did speak with a rep afterward and although she confirmed we are only getting a definite $110 in 2021, it is my hope that Amex will feel generous in December and grant us an additional $10 from January of this year. This all remains to be seen. It's $10 that I am not crying about but wanted to share my transcript.
Don't typically use Uber Eats but just added the gold card and got the $10 Uber Eats credit.

If you like food, there no reason not to have the gold card now. It compliments my Platinum.
Got it on my Gold as well. Including Uber Eats Pass. Already had Uber Eats with Amex Platinum and with the addition of Amex Gold, it pushed the Uber Eats expiration date out to December 2022. (I initially sub'd in December 2020).

Definitely going to take advantage of those credits for Uber Eats. We are actually heavily considering canceling our AMEX gold card this year but this new credit could convince us to keep it!
