Alright there has been a rumor, and I love these kind of videos, a rumor that a new Centurion lounge is coming to Washington National Airport. Now if you don’t know Centurion lounges are these great airport lounges that you can get into with only a few select American Express Cards, including the Platinum, Centurion and Delta Reserve when flying Delta booked with the card.
So here is where this rumor comes from, the forum flyer talk, user Jona970318 posts:
Announcement coming soon:
-new Centurion Lounge in DCA, expected to open some time in 2022
-additional expansions at SFO and SEA
DCA makes a lot of sense strategically, my personal guess is it might be landside in the B/C area?
Frankly not sure where they will find the additional space for SEA expansion, but will certainly be helpful given the crowding nowadays
Now the reason this person says the B/C area is because, as explained by view from the wing, American Airlines gave up the US Airways club lounge space that’s adjacent to the Admirals Club on the center pier of the B/C terminal.
American bought US airways and now the brand is no more, the fleet is just absorbed into American Airlines.
Now this rumor should be taken seriously especially since what he says about the other two lounges matches information from view from the wing:
In San Francisco American Express plans to significantly grow the Centurion lounge footprint in United’s terminal 3 to nearly 16,000 square feet.
In Seattle the plan is to move from the current 4500 square foot space to a new 13,700 square foot space on the upper level of the Central Terminal, above the central food court in a 10 year lease with 5 year option.
Those are going to be seriously big lounges. And I would say this is great news because Centurion lounges are some of the most popular lounges in the US. There are currently 13 Centurion lounges most are in the US but the first international Centurion lounge is now open in Hong Kong. There is a second international lounge coming at London Heathrow. In case you are wondering all Centurion lounges have now reopened after the pandemic, except for LGA which is under construction, being expanded.
If you want to see my review of the laguardia lounge, i will put a link to that on screen in a second.
If you want to go to the Centurion lounge a great way to get in is with the Amex Platinum card, which currently offers an amazing sign up bonus of 75k points and 10x points on gas for the first 6 months! More details on that in the description section, click the link below to learn more.
As always please subscribe if you are new and we will see you next time! Bye bye.

The bigger the network grows, the more value the Amex Platinum / Centurion / Delta Reserve Cards have 😃🙌✈️
Totally thought your zip up said American Express at first and was like damn you're really all in lol
💪
DCA is building a new terminal! can confirm, am from DC area.
I'm currently sitting in the KLM lounge at ORD (11hr layover ORD to DOH); very underwhelming. All other lounges closed and NO CENTURION lounge here. WTH?!
How you feeling now that your boy Trump is out?
Hey Ben, I still watch your vids since being your subscriber from 2018! Because of the global travel restrictions, many of us cancelled or product changed premium travel cards such as the CSR or the AMEX plat. Can you do an updated video on travel cards in the next couple of months when travel restrictions hopefully ease up? In particular, can you offer some choices for those of us that only would use the lounges once or twice this year? Thanks!
Great news for anyone living in the DMV with a Platinum card
I'm still waiting for Atlanta to get one. It's the busiest airport in the world.
I like DCA
I am so wanting to get the platinum but I love my CSR, need to make a decision before the AF hits
I find it amusing that big airports like ORD and ATL are being ignored by AMEX haha
I have a few friends in those areas waiting for a lounge
I flew out of DCA a few weeks ago. Hope to pick up the Platinum next year and see it for myself if the rumor is true.
The SEA-TAC lounge definitely needs expansion because that place is tiny.
I wonder if they are trying to be comparable in spaciousness to a Delta Lounge?
Hope this rumor is not true-filthy parasite bureaucrats in the swamp don't deserve this lounge.
I held the AmEx platinum card for 3 years. I could not justify having it.💳
DCA is my home airport. If this rumor is true, I’ll be so happy! DCA is currently under construction 🤞🤞🤞🤞
It makes sense do DCA to have a lounge… that’s gotta be a hot market of card holders
This would be great. Even better if it is before security (landside??). Since I mostly fly Delta, it is hard to jump between some terminals after you have past security. I could hit the Centurion lounge before and then the Delta Skyclub after!!! Huzzah!!
Is that 10x multiplier on gas and groceries only for new applicants or also to existing Platinum Card members?
The more Amex Centurion Lounges the better!! These lounges really are amazing and save you a ton of money from the ripoff airport food. Food at the airport really should be a factor into the value of your Platinum card.
