The offers for the Freedom cards are now live. I currently have pictures of them on my Twitter and in my FB group.
Check the Chase app as they are listed there now. Should be on main website at some point later as well
This could be the Amex gold killer. I get value with the MR points. But the travel credit is useless now and I’m getting sick of paying a 20% mark up on Grubhub once a month just to use the dining credit. I’m also worried that in 2021, airlines are going to devalue point or make award availability sparse- because they’ll need cash flow. At least UR points give you an “out” with the chase portal for “paid” tickets or cashing out for 1¢ per point.
What if I already have the card though? Then it doesn't matter to me at all. They should make that a category.
Do you think they will increase the Hyatt sign up? That is the card I want next.
I would apply for the CFU after hearing this (already have the Freedom), but the 5/24 rule is holding me back. Looks like my AMEX Gold and Blue Cash Preferred cards have some use after all, despite having annual fees.
Great video, If I have the CSP already I wont be able to get a Freedom card without downgrading will I?
Does the 5x grocery apply for existing Chase cardholders?
If I already have the freedom and get the freedom unlimited do I get the $200 bonus and 5% at grocery stores, or no because i already got the $200 on the regular freedom ?
So my wife has the chase freedom. When she sends me her referral link it’s for the chase freedom unlimited. Is there no referral code for the chase freedom?
Walmart Neighborhood counts as grocery!… I got my car oil 5w20 full synthetic and AC Freon there
Now I can see the offer at the public CFU link… The thing is I got approved for CFU yesterday and it's on its way to my home haha. I am gonna contact customer service to request them to match the offer…
Sorry guys the 5/24 work around loophole doesn’t qualify for this promotion. Product change does no reset the clock therefore not a “new” card.
I called about this today and the chase rep had no idea what I was talking about. Can anyone verify this is actually a thing?
Why can't I find this 5% on the chase website
I saw it on the website this evening and just got off the phone with Chase. No luck matching the signup bonus for a CFU I opened on July 8th. Hopefully others are more successful in their efforts.
Just a question. Why is no one talking about the Amex preferred card that gives you 6 % back on groceries, gas and streaming?
My name is Waller's Wallet and I am the fastest credit card guy alive. When I was a child I saw my mother overcharged by high interest cards. My father worked a second job to pay her minimum monthly payments. Then an accident made me the impossible. To the outside world, I'm an ordinary YouTuber, but secretly I use my credit skills to fight high interest and find others like me. And one day, I'll find who over charged my mother and get justice for my father. I am…Waller's Wallet!
It looks like all the DPs from this Reddit thread are showing that Chase will not match the sign up bonuses, even if the account was opened since June 1. I sent a secure message tonight to see if I can get a matching bonus. It seems like the agents working today did not know that this bonus even existed, so hopefully it's just a today problem and Chase starts matching soon.

Just called them and the rep said she couldn’t match it. My freedom card was opened on June 19. I’ll try again later with another rep.
Good thing I waited LOL. I've been in the Chase ecosystem since 2016 with CSR and Freedom, but never got the Freedom Unlimited. Just got auto approved for this now. 5% back on groceries for a year, and then $200 back after spending $500 is just too good of a deal not to pass. Especially if you transfer the grocery points to CSR, and then use pay yourself back for basically a 7.5% cash back
Do you have any idea how long this 1 year 5% grocery sign-up bonus will last? I'm 5/24 currently, but will be back to 4/24 in a few months.
Thanks for the heads up. was thinking about what to get next. Looks like I have a freedom coming in the mail 👍
Does Freedom usually have $150 cash bonus or it has always been $200?
Thanks
Unless Amex acts quickly, I’m having my wife get her own Chase Freedom. Oversized bonus, plus 5% on groceries for 12 months, plus after that, each of us will get the full $ 75 bonus during their grocery quarter. We spend $ 10,000 yearly on supermarket coded purchases. I was thinking of upgrading from my Amex Green to the Gold, as travel benefits are meaningless now, and the Blue Cash Preferred isn’t worth the $ 95 fee to me, with so many special supermarket perks being given.
The Gold 4 points on supermarkets, has an average gift card redemption value of about 3 cents. Poor value.
That makes this Chase Freedom offer, combined with the free Amex Blue Cash 3 % card, hard to beat.
Given the poor non travel redemption value of Amex points, they need to go to 5 points per dollar.
I was supposed to apply for the blue cash preferred this week mostly because of groceries , looks I will be applying for the freedom now
Them arms tho! 💪
I called for this and no luck with this for me. I have the card for less than 120 days, maybe people with 90days or less.??
So what's the deadline on the FU deals?
Does this apply to anyone who already has the card?
This is a great intro bonus on the Freedom cards. Even better than earning 4x with the Gold card. But, only if you have the Sapphire Reserve in my opinion. I wish I was ready to apply for one of these cards. Take care and stay safe Dustin!
I literally applied for my chase card on Wednesday and I don’t have this offer on grocery. I just sent a secure message to try and get the reward. I’ll update on how it goes!
The Walmart card from Cap one has 5% too but unlimited and is also free. That’s the one I use for groceries 2k per month. So here we go. That’s another one
So… Are you saying that with a Standard Freedom card, you could achieve during the Whole Foods & grocery store quarters 10% UR points on $1,500? I think that's what I'm reading here.
Hi, de 5/24 rule is still in place?
Have 8 months worth of card history but also a banking relationship with Chase. Great credit score. Is it likely I would get approved? Should I take the chance?
Apparently, this intro bonus with the 5% does not apply through referral links?
I’m going to get the Chase Freedom. Incredible value! I’m going to run the Freedom and Discover it that I already have!
Not a good deal for those of us who already have Chase Freedom or Unlimited. What we get is NADA!
So the 5% is only for new Freedom and Unlimited holders or does this also apply to current holders of these cards? If so, is there a link to Activate the offer?
You also mentioned that CSR holders will benefit from the 5%. I don't see that written anywhere on Chase's website.
Bestbuy card 5% back on grocery
Just got a new chase card and I spent some money to get the welcome bonus and I paid it off immediately and it took it out of my account but they are putting a hold on it for a week so really chase is borrowing my $400. Very bad first time so far
