I just(June 2020) upgraded to the CSR from the CSP and was given the 450 AF.
You always have so concise details on these cards. It's so helpful. Maybe you can help me with this… I have a business credit card with $25k credit but the 0% promo has ended. I owe $0 on this one and their interest rate is 14.9%. I call about every 3 months to ask if for balance transfer specials and they say "no". Should I close this card out and apply for a new same card with 0% promo? I want to pay a different card I owe $9k at 9.9% interest.
When I called to upgrade my CSP to CSR they said $550 is that accurate ?
So basically you’re paying them back for your rewards and if your new you don’t have to pay till the next year which is still even out to getting two years for 1
Hello I have a question i wanted to do a buy on my leased honda, i am currently with honda financial. My question is if i Finance my leased honda tru "Honda financial, will that drop my AAOA? Even tho its the same company?
👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Great video Sebby! I'm a edge case here. Would you apply for the CSP and upgrade freedom to CSR before or after getting the bonus? Thanks!
Hey, I've opened my CSP back in Aug 2017 and been stacking up points to use for my trip last year, so my points are empty. I've opened the Amex gold card and that's pretty much the only card I've been using after I got it. Other card I have is the Chase Freedom card but right now I don't have any real use for my CSP so I am debating if I should keep it / cancel it / alternative card/ or upgrade to CSR. But that AF is a pretty big jump for me. Any Advice?
Edit: My Freedom has 7k credit and CSP has 10.9k credit.
Wife is AU on my CSR is she still eligible for the sign up bonus if she gets her own?
Do I need to transfer my capital one venture points to travel partners before downgrading?
I have an pre approved offer for both CSP and CSR … should I go high and 2nd year downgrade if still not traveling for lower CSP?
I've been using the 'pay yourself back' feature for a while now and I've already saved several hundred dollars. Question: If I transfer points from my CFU to my CSP in order to redeem them using the pay yourself back feature does it increase their value?
What do you mean by "under 5/24?"
holy shoo.. I landed right into the edge case. Thanks! Sebby!
Quick question…. If I apply for the Chase Reserve card and used my points to pay off my initial purchases (getting 1.5 cents) will chase still count those purchases against the spend requirements? Example… I get the card and buy $4000 worth of AMAZON gift cards at the grocery store. I Use roughly 267K points to pay for the purchase. Will chase allow this and give me credit for the purchase? Basically will I qualify for the 50K sign up bonus? Thanks in advance for the help.
I don't really see where the value is for Reserve over the Preferred. Seems like they're basically equal but one is 5.5 times the annual fee of the other. I would get the Chase Sapphire Preferred.
No upgrading for me, but could make sense for the right people for sure 👍 Awesome to see Chase adding strong (and relevant) earning categories and redemption options for the current economic climate we’re going thru 🤘 Thanks for the breakdown Sebby 💳
I have a chase freedom from years ago with a $4k limit. Just got approve for CSP with $12k limit. Are you saying that I should now upgrade my chase freedom to a CSR? Wouldn't I end up with 2 sapphire cards then?
You’re a ninja! How did you learn all this? Is this easy for you because you’re a young couple? I’m married with two young teenage boys! Can we travel as a family? How do I even begin to start planning my life?
At 7:25, I understand why you would discount the Door Dash credit, because in a lot of cases, the prices are inflated, so you're not getting the true value. But why would you discount the travel credit? Isn't it just erasing the cost of whatever travel item or service you paid for, so you're paying the same whether it is with the credit or not?
What is 5/24 ?
I hit my one year anniversary on my CSP exactly today (August 1st) and here's what the customer service rep told me: I won't be eligible for a product change until my annual fee hits on September 1st, and I would have to pay a $550 annual fee for the CSR.
Has anyone noticed Sapphire preferred card color changed slightly? I recently got my replacement and noticed the change in color and the card does not have that solid titanium feel…
Liked! I have the csr card and like it pretty well. Right now they are offering 20% more on your points if you purchase an apple product…I’m debating whether to use my points $900 ish dollars towards a MacBook Pro or just not take my points and just pay for it to get more points. Any opinions out there?
I’m prequalified for the Chase Sapphire Reserve.. but I don’t wanna pay that annual fee 😂 💳
For the edge case, why do you need 10,000 dollar credit limit in order to upgrade your chase freedom card to the reserve?
Great detailed review Sebastian ! Nice content !
Hey y'all! Watched this video, liked it and subscribed because I just KNEW!…When I tell y'all I dead a** got almost $15K for a credit line for the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card! Credit score is peaking back into the 700s since I bought my first house March 2020, and got a $5k CapitalOne credit card April 2020 [CapitalOne is only CC open in that 24 month period, so def passed that 5/24 Chase rule!]. (Salary only $78k). Good luck, y'all!
Can you do another Amex cold vs csp because I’m stuck on which one to get , I’m ready to upgrade to one
I watch this channel like all the times … but I still don’t know what 5/24 is
Hey can you:
(1) Signup in-branch for CSP;
(2) Hit the MSR and get 80,000 UR points;
(3) Transfer the points to a Freedom Flex;
(4) Upgrade the CSP to the CSR;
(5) 80,000 x 1.5 = 120,000 UR points
?
Can I pay student loans w the credit card lol
@asksebby What are your thoughts on whether to apply for the CSP's new 100K offer first then upgrade to the CSR vs. applying directly for the CSR? Does the logic/do the options change with the increased offer?
