I've had a credit one card for almost a year it was one of my first cards i just got a offer for this american express card i like it other than the annual fee.
Will this CC help build a relationship with American Express? Would prefer a CC directly with them.
Didn’t get approved at 648 Experian. BK discharge likely has something to do with it of course. But I am an existing customer with them. Interesting. Lol
I'm pretty new on this country (USA) and trying to build my credit, I have the regular creditone card since year back, it helped me a lot. It sucks, I mean in usability terms, paymenth methods are to slow with intent of you pay fees or interests, but anyway if you are trying to get a better credit score they works, I will try with this AMEX.
I have the American Express card with credit one and trying to build my credit up after a divorce put my credit in shambles gratefully they approved me with a $500.00 limit like capital one the down side of this card is it takes days to credit to your acct after you make a debit payment from your bank . Capital one on the other will debit immediately and your credit will show up in 2 days at most hopefully credit one and fix this problem as I can't use my card till the credit posts to my card. Cash back rewards post promptly .
Be thankful that there’s cards like this out there. There’s a lot of people who need them to be able to rebuild credit.
I hear starter cards w/AMex are very good for developing a relationship with AMex. I feel thats the only real reason to get any card w/this company. They have ugly practices, yrly fees non-negotiable, no card credit increases and low balances on them, no extra perks (points, discounts bonuses for card usage). All of their cards are starter cards. Only for those looking to start or build new credit, and U must pay attention to them b/c they have nasty fees everywhere.
Does this card entitle you to use the Amex lounge at airports?
Credit one has helped me re-establish my credit after chapter 7. Two years later more cards a mortgage and a new car. Don’t sleep on opportunities to let you in the door to a better credit future.

Ok I've had a Credit One card for 3 years. ALWAYS paid my balance in full therefore I never had any issues & my scores increased. A form of credit & having enough for a credit utilization ratio is crucial in building credit, take the offer if you get it & be responsible with it. The apr doesn't even matter when you're not carrying over balances geez.
I've had this card for a little over 2 months now. The only thing I don't like is that it takes a little long to process a payment. Luckily I pay my cards off as soon as I charge anything on them as I am also rebuilding my credit. I don't mind paying the $39 annual fee since it is an AMEX. I just wonder if, as I continue to grow and rebuild my credit – if AMEX will eventually consider me for one of their cards. Has anyone been able to find this out? Lmk.

no. absolutely not. 1% cash back WITH ANNUAL FEE???? F*** NO. Get a discover card, call them and see what the best card is you can qualify for. Once you have graduated to the it card and have some history, branch out. No one, under any circumstances should get a card from credit one, or any other bullshit subprime bank. if not discover, go capital one platinum.
My credit score is 585, I had a bankruptcy 3 years ago and just got approved for it with a 1000 dollar credit limit. Super excited this is going to help my credit alot.

Okay so for instance if I make a purchase of $300 and my minimum payment is $25 a month , if I just keep paying off the minimum every month and not paying the $300 in full at the end of the month it was used I will be charged interest?
It’s good for me. Benefits of American Express as I rebuild credit is always a good thing. My credit line is low but I don’t pay an annual fee .

Stay away from credit one cards. I paid and closed them out months ago they still send me Bill's in the mail monthly. Yes bill says I owe them $$$ on a zero balance unbelievable..
