Should we expect big sign up bonuses for hotel and airlines credit cards in near future?

If Google came out with a no fee 3% cash back card on all purchaes they would dominate the CC business with it.

Sebby my worry is that Hilton selling this huge number of points would create a huge liability on their balance sheet which might make it difficult to raise additional money from the market in future. So my fear is that they would make points redemption more dynamic to get the points liability off their books asap. Amex can sell credit cards to new folks saying they can get a free night but that would probably be at some off-peak time so Amex wont be technically wrong in advertising that. Eventually customers would suffer.

I love Apple I will always stick with apple too the bit You can already tell it’s going too be better then Apple Pays card because it’s going too be a physical card and you can create your own pin
And I don’t have anything against Discover card but MasterCard and is more International atm banking friendly

WOW…I'm impressed. After that quarantine haircut, that you got from Mandy, I thought you'd lose all your knowledge and brain power on credit cards and stuff. 😄

Hey Sebby. How many months ahead from my annual fee month would you say I could call for a retention offer?

Hi 👋 Sebastián. my credit card was closed due to inactivity on April 16 but I was able make a purchase on April 17. I called the bank and tried to reason with the representative but she wouldn’t reinstate my account. The balance is $ 23.74, my question is should I pay it anyway even if they already reported as closed due to inactivity ?

Google card makes sense. I use Google Rewards surveys and 95% of their surveys ask if I was at a certain store and if I used a debit or credit card. Might be advantageous if they integrate custom deals based on location data.

Do you think these Hilton points will be up for sale to us from AMEX at a discounted rate?

Google had the Wallet debit card years back that was tied to Google Wallet. Reading about the new Google Pay card is looking like it's another rebrand as Google Pay was to Wallet. I still have the card but never used it since there really wasn't any incentive to so hopefully there is this time around.

I had a google pay debit card about 6 years ago, it was designed for situations when you couldn’t used google pay with NFC device or terminal, I really liked it and then it was discontinued. It will be interesting to see how this product will differ.

Maybe new Hilton card in the mix too? Although with 3 already in the lineup and the most recent $450 (or is it $550) a year Hilton card only came out in the past 1-2 years. Maybe a business one?

Google can never have an original idea, Jesus. I'm surprised isn't a credit card. Cash app debit card the best so far, especially when you use boost. You can get 10% of at Walmart, groceries, Chic, or even two off coffee

Yeah it doesnt sounds like a good idea. The only way is guarantee that 1 night is worth 1 token regardless of the price, then its a win win for both parties. Amex get business and Hilton get their money. If this is not the case, then its not worth it.

Hey Sebby. I got the AMEX Hilton Honors card the other day with a 7200 CLI. The bonus was 100,000 points. I went through the incognito browser and got 25,000 points more than AMEX offers on its regular website, and 20,000 points more than Hilton Honors offers on their website. I was shocked and immediately remembered you doing this video.

Another great video Sebby. You always manage to cut down through the 'legalize' to get us to the bottom line. With regards to the Hilton rewards program (not currently a member, but joining soon), they have a deal where the Amex MR points (I have the business Gold card) can be transferred to the Hilton program with a two for one point swap. Has this been the usual, or a new thing? I am debating getting the Business Hilton Amex, but using the Gold card instead appears to be the better deal.
