Increase the annual fee to 250 and give a category 5 free night and I'd consider it a keeper… but as of today I'd just get it for the signup bonus and then I'd cancel it.
A meh card
There once was a lad named Shifu, who gave this the big pass. But in stormy weather, when only Hyatt holds it together, you're going to hear it from your lass!
Chase hotel cards are a bit misleading in stating the earn rate for the chain. They advertise the earn rate that includes base rate, status, etc.
e.g.
Hyatt / Hyatt Business: 9X = 4X by card + 5X base rate
IHG Premier: 25X = 10X by card + 10X base rate + 5X by status
Marriott Boundless: 17X = 6X by card + 10X base rate + 1X by status
On the other hand, Amex is much more clear on this.
e.g.
Hilton Aspire: 14X – that is just by card (not including base rate, status, etc.)
Marriott Brilliant: 6X – that is just by card (again not including base rate, status, etc.)
So on paper, Chase cards' advertising makes them look more powerful than reality, IMO slightly misleading.
No free night award not for me. I'll stick with the Marriott Bonvoy. Thanks for another great video.
Hard to see a compelling reason to keep the card past year one. If you love Hyatt and have spend to burn it makes more sense.
I think it is now less likely for a better personal card offer to come out before the end of the year :(.

A great card for businesses that ONLY want Hyatt Globalist, that's a lot of spend in one place or for one currency. I get Explorist status via my other cards/matches, why in the whole would I spend $50K for Globalist. No can do.
What's the normal intro offer. I want to go to Japan in a few years the regency Hyatt costs 39k a night.
Eventually maybe in a few years I'm going to Japan with my brother. there's a tier 7 Hyatt hotel I want to stay at currently it's 39k points a night is this pandemic rates will it go up massively. My brother owns the business I work for him so I'm thinking of doing the freedom flex grind then getting one in his name to grind out more points then opening the Hyatt card when we can't hit that intro point offer and transfer the flex points to it.
I'm a noob when it comes to hotels so if my brother books the hotel can he have 2 guests me and my gf or would that cost extra. Any help is appreciated. Edit I hear you can have two business Hyatt cards ssn and ein hopefully that's simple because that's alot of point grinds and it's why I like chase very easy to churn bunch of points.
