Unfortunately, the earning the Southwest Companion Pass just became a little bit harder. It is going to take more points to earn the best domestic benefit on the market. But even though it will be harder, there are ways to earn the extra points you’ll need to earn the Companion Pass beyond Chase Southwest credit cards.

I'm coming to the end of my CP this year. As I get deeper in the game I'm passing on future CP due to opportunity cost. I think working other points venues is more rewarding and you get a better flying experience with other carriers.
Thanks for the timely update. That's one cute and clean kitty you have there! Is it possible to get two Southwest business cards to qualify for the companion pass? I know two personal cards don't count but can't figure out whether the same applies to business cards.
This is excellent- thank you! Just what I needed to fill in that gap with the new 125,000 requirement.
You can still get both business cc, and get the companion pass, there is currently no language saying you can't have both business cards, or language saying that if you get one bonus on one business card you can't get the bonus on the other.
Southwest Airlines suck
I’d never go after this
Companion Pass is a great reason to stay under 5/24 since the Southwest cards are issued by Chase.
Another way to earn points toward CP: last year, you could earn 1,000 points if you use the TurboTax website to prepare your taxes (by using the link provided by Southwest).
Waller your the only YouTuber ive seen do a video on this topic. Thank you so much for doing this video. Love your channel keep up the great content! 😀
Helpful and informative video, Dustin. Although, I dont usually fly Southwest unless it's one of the low fare deals. And I think its unfortunate that we will probably see a devaluation of their points in the future.
I plan on signing up for the SW Performance Business card for the 80k, then getting an in-flight offer for the 50k bonus for a SW personal card
Just a reminder: if you weren't traveling more than a couple times a year, you won't start now 😅 it's an amazing deal only for those who's flying domestically all the time
You did EXCELLENT on this video! Thank you for sharing
Loved the update Waller! I am sharing my referrals for the new SW cards for anyone who wants to jump right to 75k points via the new personal cards with larger signup bonuses. Much appreciated! Let's go fly together. Earn up to 75,000 points. @t
So I don’t have any chase cards but I want to get the companion pass I will do the strategies you suggest but is there any others I should try I bread I should have done this in October or November to get the full 2years in well thx for the vid and lmk if I should get or start any other strategy on this thx
Hmmm spend $450 on flowers to get a flight pass instead of paying 1/2-3/4 that for the ticket itself…. Sounds like a deal….Look at all the money you're spending unnecessarily to get a companion pass.
