Remember you have to accumulate 500 points before they will credit your account and even then its only done at the end of each quarter

Hi Shifu just thought I’d mention that RAKUTEN has the 楽天 kanji, meaning that you parse the RAKU and the TEN, therefore pronouncing the name as RAkuTEn. Your Chinese background probably has you thinking LIUTIEN or something along those lines. 😉

Can someone tell me which AMEX cards regular or business earn MR points? Are there any that have no annual fee? I plan to get an Amex gold card in the future but timing isn't right yet for me. Also, do AMEX business cards hit against 5/24?
My only Amex MR point earning card is the BBP. And it looks like business cards are excluded from this offer 😐

Amex used to have an online shopping portal. They took it down and went the route of Amex Offers. Now this “portal” essentially returns with the Rakuten collaboration.
I've been using rakuten since before it became rakuten.

I just learned about this yesterday. Many of the “in store” restaurants in ny by me has 5% back. I’m mad I didn’t know about this sooner. Can easily get 9x points on some restaurants with the Amex gold
They probably sell your order information to hedge funds. So if you don't care about privacy sure.

Raketun website no longer says 'switch to membership rewards points' now it says 'learn about earning points' the help page instructs to log in and enter Amex online account credentials when prompted. I logged in and wasn't prompted, signed out, signed back in and the same thing. What am I missing?
Thank you! I just used Rakuten to book a cruise through Travelocity. They are currently offering 10% back on cruises. That's almost like getting a sign up bonus from opening a new credit card!
Can you clarify:
How does Amex code these purchases.. lets say your Amex card gives you 3x on department stores… Rakuten gives 10x on Macy’s… are you potentially earning 13x?

FYI, this is being clawed back. Amex is only allowing MR points to be earned if you use the registered Amex card to make the purchase on Amazon
Question: in your example with the Amazon Card + the MR points, do you have to make a purchase with the AMEX card to earn the MR points or can we use another card LIKE the amazon to get the points? (Are we getting 2 “currencies” back for the price of 1 purchase?)
