Episode Description
Hidden away on the upper floors of Park MGM is a hotel within a hotel you should know about. #NoMad Las #Vegas has its own private bar, lobby and unique design, but is this boutique hotel located inside of Park MGM worth the visit? We’ll discuss the rooms, experience & why it just might be the best that MGM Resorts has to offer in Vegas.
Shawn also recently stayed at Bally’s Las Vegas to say a final goodbye before the property transitions to #Horseshoe. We’ll look at what it is like to stay there right now plus the progress on changing Bally’s into Horseshoe Las Vegas. How do the rooms match up to other Caesars properties and when is Ole Red coming to the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo Road? So much to update you on! Sorry for the occasional pops on the sound track.

Coomer & Ostermann! Keep up the great work! Agreed with Nomad. A distinct flair that place has. Way better than the standard rooms of Park MGM. As for Bally’s… it pretty much does the job. As you noted it’s right next to Paris. Personally I like it bc it’s so close to Ellis & Stage Door.
Agree on Ballys. I still think their rooms are one of the best values on the strip. When I was single and poor , it was one of my favorite places to stay. I also agree the casino is blah. Always stayed at Ballys and played at Cromwell (before they nuked the good rules).
I stayed at Bally's in November and I have to agree with Shawn. It's a great hotel. The location is awesome, the price is cheap for how nice it is, (for now anyway) and I did well in the casino. However, I did like casino at Paris better, they seemed to have better drink service. Also, yeah… I don't like the shanty town in front either.
I’m booked to go to Bally’s in September and can’t wait!! Hopefully there won’t be to much construction changing it over to the Horseshoe 🤞🇬🇧
im only pearl on mgmrewards but my rewards show 4 any day nites at nomad and resort fees waived, from what i have learned about tiers you need be gold get rf waived but my account show no fees for any mgm property completely free any thoughts on that? i am in europe so maybe int travellers are different but i cannot find anything to say that.im coming over in a few months booked 2 of them offers and also ballys for the 72 hours in between i like ballys rooms are huge
Funny you should mention the original Nomad Hotel. It no longer exists. They closed without notice at the beginning of the pandemic and never came back.
We love NoMad. Great service and l love the non smoking aspect.
The shops in front a Bally's really do look down market for center strip, like they belong in front of Polo Towers really. I sort of like Bally's casino – but change will do it good as well (hopefully). I have to say this in case anyone ready remembers…in that mall that goes way back they sue to deal blackjack there and had slots. if you look you can still see the ey in the sky equipment – then you'll notice the carpet outlining where the tables were. Also note the is a Bally's fitness center in that mall…now that is a funny play on words becasue the U.S. was once blanketed with Bally Fitness Centers…like Planet Fitness today. Yes, pretty much (at the time) the same company as this hotel casino and and the slot maker. I do hope they bring back the Sterling Brunch… that was pricy but awesome.
Do Bally's and Paris still share the same gaming license?
Thanks for the update, guys. useful as always.
I stayed in the one bedroom suite at NoMad this past February and I think it’s totally overrated. The walls are way too thin. We could hear the conversation of the people staying next to us as if they were in the room with us. It was very awkward. The looks are high end, but the wall insulation is still Monte Carlo quality.
Ballys is the ultimate don't judge a book by it's cover. The outside doesn't match the inside at all. It's exterior screams old Miami Beach hotel but then you go inside and it's a lot more mordern then you would expect and no teal or ocean blue colors to be found.
I love Nomad. Stayed twice, once upgraded to Atelier, which is supposed to be like European artist's work/live space. Once upgraded to Grande Suite, which is the one bedroom.. Canceled other stays due to Covid. Won't duplicate details in video. Some other points: all hardwood floors, so probably much cleaner than who-knows-what is in hotel carpeting. Really nice details, like crystal glassware at minibar. Softest bed linen of all MGM in my opinion. Really cool art in rooms. Even great stuff in hallways, like a massive sofa by the elevator on your floor if you're too tired or…..to get to your room.
But the WC situation is a real negative. Both have split WC and shower rooms. Shower, vanity/sink is closer to bedroom. Toilet & sink is always farthest – at least it's a straight unobstructed dash in the Atelier. In the Grande Suite, you need to navigate into the living room, around furniture, to the front entrance for the toilet… not suitable for inebriated middle-of-night stumble, or for those of an age where Depends or FloMax are considerations.
Great place. Even the Nomad valets are great if you have a car. They must do some fantastic customer service training.
I stayed at the Nomad a couple of weeks ago and saw Bruno Mars, Jimmie Allen, Bruce Buffer, and Adam22 in one weekend. Who knew??
Every time you said nomad I had thoughts of no ma’am from married with children.
Delano is awesome.. for sure an underwater property because of it's location..I like park MGM so I will have to try nomad next time
I stayed at Nomad last year. I highly recommend it. 👍 The Nomad Library restaurant is also excellent and is beautifully decorated. You really feel like you’re in a fancy old library in New York City.
Book Bally's early because I can more less guarantee when it rebrands to Horseshoe prices go up………….A LOT………………TIFWIW but I see supper cheap prices for Mirage, booking for early 2023 hoping they move me to Bellagio or Aria or maybe even Cosmo when the sale is complete
Bally's Sportsbook is TERRIBLE…………they have projection TV's, lol…………I'm hoping the sportsbook gets a major upgrade with the horseshoe transititon
Has MGM sorted out that issue with FHR where Hyatt elite stay credits are not counted if the member has booked an MGM room through Amex FHR?
I want to stay at the NoMad also – great review.
